She's said she's proud of her underground roots, but she did go mainstream when she backed B'z, a rock duo who are huge in Japan. I can attest she's an eyeful and earful live.
Thank you, yes I do know of the B'z, Kiyoshi, is my top Bass player and when I get the time I will put out my top 5 or 10 the Bass players. and I think I will upset a few people lol!!!
As soon as you said if you don't know Kyoshi it is about time you did, I had to respond even befoire I listened ( of course I have heard it already as I have most of her releases) you never said a truer word, she is amazing. When people talk about Japanese bassist rhey talk about Misa, Fami, Koga, Juna etc and rightly so but Kyoshi is mostly never mentioned (I think they she is possibly more of an independant spirit). But I have seen her videos performing with Rie a.k.a Suzaku and Mrty Friedman, and the videos on her own channel where she plays videos and live with only a drummer (who is really good as well). She doesn't need more. OK now I am going to liste n to your reaction, thanks for supporting her, as usual Mr B you are on the ball
Hey Mr. X 😉. I already watched this live version last week and i'm melting. Her bass skills are from another planet 🤯, unreachable for me. At least i'm also playing Warwick. And when i see her i always imagine those other skills she must have, of those i'm not talking here as a gentleman 😁. She's defintely my future wife, but she does not know yet 😍. Stay strong 🤞
