In case the general world audience does not know, this origal song is a very traditional COLOMBIAN song that dates back to our grandparents. The song is called "Cumbia cienaguera" by Colombian artist Andres Paz Barros. Good job Samim in redoing it house. It almost sounds as good as the original. VIVA COLOMBIA!!!!!!
It's been a year since I commented on this video, but 15 years since you made your comment, and I just saw it now. Just wanted to thank you. I never knew about any "original" version of the song, but I'm listening to it right now. Definitely a song to add to my library and whip out when DJing for some of my South American friends.
I don't hate DJs, but I don't respect them. I heard this song on austrian MTV in 2007, so, I like to hear it to remember Wien. But the original is better.
@@garetz2011 Why don't you respect DJs? Is it because most DJs use digital now? I haven't actually done a gig in many years, but I still have several crates full of vinyl, and I'm always on the lookout for more. I prefer the old school methods, without beatmatching mixers and digital crap. I used to cut better on knobs than most people can do with a crossfader.
I first heard this track the year it came out ,I got a lift from a bunch of strangers from cream amnesia to San Antonio and he blasted this all the way . The memories.
@@WedgePee it's all tech house or deep house these days that sounds the same. Hed Kandi and the ministry of sound annuals provided a lot of bangers back then. No longer around it seems like
I've been looking for this song for 10+ years. Never knew what it was called or even how to find it all I could remember was that guy playing accordion in the desert.
IBIZA bella inolvidable.
I heard this from a cd I found in the player of a moving truck the minute I heard thibi recognized it from a 1940s Colombian song. La Cumbia Cienaguera by Alberto Pacheco. Pure Nostalgia.
Me n my dad bought a work van and this song disc was stuck in the radio on loop every time the van came on this blasted out he didn’t mind the song but i kinda liked it
I will never understand why this song exploded back in ~2007 all over the ELECTRONIC SCENE. They played it everywhere, from BBC1 to Ibiza clubs (which is actually same, lol). Yet, I still have it in my collection and I'm in a same boat. Whatever :)
Thank you very much I was looking for the song by Shaggy - Feel The Rush for two weeks and because of your comment I remember that it was in the charts in 2008 and I looked for it there immediately
Yes!! I completely forgot about this song... youtube was on auto-play and all of sudden i was back being a 7th grader in the year 2008 blasting this on my Nokia 5300 Xpressmusic.

This used to be one of my favorite songs (well, still is I guess) after one of the New York City radio stations started playing it several times a day during a format change. I've probably listened to this song over 1000 times, but I never realized how old it was. I thought it was from like 2015 or MAYBE 2014 at the very oldest.
My sister could only give me these clues: guy in poncho plays accordion in the desert, and it's disco music. So, after 30 minutes of mind fuck googling my mission is complete, here I am.
