Looks like this hit everyone elses suggested videos too! Seeing this, it really makes sense why they waited so long to make it a movie. They really needed someone who could fully empathize the part of Charlie to make the movie hit the deep heartstrings that it did.
I've seen the film 5 times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I cry uncontrollably... It's worse now because I'm expecting the lines to come and I'm think, I won't cry, THEN BAM....I can't say how much I love the movie
you gotta remember theater actors are playing for people on a stage. They need be more exaggerated so even the people way in the back can see whats happening. Also movies have the benefit of multiple takes editing etc..
The movie is much more religious than you think. First of all, easy on the homophobic remarks, you are from a different time I guess, you still got some good time left, shouldn't use it hating, but critically thinking And, in the movie, there are themes of people like the gay boyfriend of Charlie who killed himself still NEEDING god in his life, and Charlie saying to him that he doesn't need God is what eventually drives him to kill himself The attacks in this movie are against cults that strain the freedom of their members, stripping them from their personality and interests, not only sexual ones but many others. Re watch it while you still can, open your heart to the individual lives of characters, and you'll find out it is actually a much more religious and moodlifting movie than it seems.
This makes me appreciate Brendan Frasier so much more wow.
Yes he is the one, Oscar the best actor. Next to the best, Marlon Brondo in my list.
@Harold Paulle difference is stage actors can’t mess up there’s no second takes unlike movies
@Harold Paulle Ive seen plenty of stage plays so you are wrong on that.
@@OctPSfever next to Marlon Brando? Are you serious? Lol
@@autofocus4556 Marlon Brondo, he's got electrolytes.
Lol at all the people who are surprised a low-budget play can’t compare to a $3 million movie. I mean come on, have reasonable expectations.

I felt the same, the movie is very touching. Every line is a beautiful.
The movie brought me here!
i got this recommended lol
Fascinating. Fraser really deserved that Oscar. He gave the character so much humanity, vulnerability, compassion. It was incredibly moving.
As beautifully inspiring as the live-action adaptation.
…this…is the live action adaptation. a play is the only live action for of entertainment
uhhh bud a play is live action lmao.
For those who don't know, the film was adapted from a play. This was a rehearsal of the play that the film was adapted from
Amazing to think this was originally a musical!
Play, not musical
@@daltonz-backup6318 That was a joke that didn’t land.

I was so disappointed in this movie. The anti-religion pro-gay agenda. Sign of the wicked world.
Haven’t watched it yet, what kind of anti-religion stuff is in there?
religion is the root of all evil.
