With the Outsiders now on Broadway there's been growing interest in performing the play by middle school/ high school students. My students and I have been researching various productions and presentations of the play and this version by @Wheaton Academy is at the top of every student's list. We found no other presentation of the play where the actors/ students conveyed such vulnerability. The choreography of the fight scenes, staging, use of light and music...etc...all incredible. Pony Boy was beautifully played. Kudos to all.
The Outsiders is one of my favorite books and to see it portrayed this well on stage was wonderful. Ponyboy gave me chills and it's not often I find myself deeply hurting for a character (unfortunately, I tend to be very particular), but the acting was absolutely phenomenal. Well done.
For this show I prefer them not having mics, because they have a lot of scenes they involve getting water on a persons face and they couldn't do that with mics.
For a high school production, I thought the acting was pretty darn good, especially the fight scenes. I tried to show this to my classes, but the sound is so muffled that they couldn't follow the story.
Steve has never been in the play. Take it up with the playwright. Also since we're talking about how characters look, why doesn't Dally have white blond hair?

These are my friends; I am so proud of them! I am crying! I miss everyone!!! ❤👏😢
Oh that beginning with Johnny! 😭😭 Props to whoever put that makeup on Johnny's face.

My teacher had us watch this for homework and I am so happy I did it. I loved this so much
This one was by far the best on RUclips!
Good job very good acting to 👏👏
The scenes with Soda and Sandy were amazing!!!
I loved every bit of it, but I feel they shouldve shown Dally's death in order to really feel the impact
Agreed. Blame the playwright. His adaptation is so lazy and not thought out whatsoever
We are reading this in class and I love this book I just found out it was a play I’m excited
This is rly good!
JOHNNY 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
WHEN WILL I GET TO DO THIS PLAY. WHEN WILL IT BE ME😭😭😭😭
GLITTER?? WHEN DID YOU GET HERE 😨😨😨
@@ClownersPin I have a whole playlist of these videos of high schools and coummunity theaters doing this play😭
Its weird seeing a tall johnnycake and short Pony. In the movie, ralph is shorter than tommy (or atleast it looked like it) and its not bad but.
Yeahh
Wow. It's like they're not the movie cast or something. Huh.
Ok. Yeah. I’m convincing my director for that beginning!
Wow. My play didn’t have any songs in it-
It would have been a lot better if they had mics

Lmaoo why was cherry yelling so much?
haha bc her character does
why does johnny have blonde hair
Why doesn't Dally?
Man ponyboy you got to calm down boy

The actors playing Ponyboy and Johnny should've been switched 😕
The actress who played Cherry is really good 👍
I AGREE BRO, i started crying when I saw pony in Johnnys outfit.
This was really good, except they didn’t show Dally’s suicide. It’s interesting that there’s no Steve Randle (Sodapop’s best friend) in the play.
Dally didn't exactly commit suicide but whatever, also Steve's boring as shit, like literally soooooo bbbbooooooorrrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnngggg
There never has been.
