We should never underestimate the ability for military personnel to find further uses for their issued kit. The ingenuity of a grunt/squaddie is only matched by their ability to break something, or get it pregnant.
Thanks for the video. I’ve like this design of rifle for many years. I’ve never had a problem adjusting safety tension with just my hand until a handled a Polish copy. Whatever steel they used is very stout.
E&L airsoft replicas all come with these, so I was searching for all the uses. What an amazing multi purpose kit in such a small package. EMEI (EMEI & Landarms = E&L) is Chinese gun factory, and their replicas are extremely well done, to the point that you actually need the tool for leverage on various thing like the handguard retainer or gas tube lever. They also include small green oil canister, because they actually make their AKs from steel that is blued, which is nice too.
I have seen that online somewhere as well, but you can use anything really to get leverage. I did not see that listed in the original training manual though.
I've had my ak rifles for 20 years, never cleaned them. Just lightly sprayed oil on the moving parts and wiped the outside with a oiled rag wear I handled it. Zero malfunctions in all those years.
Generally you use it as an aid in the disassembly and reassembly of the trigger, disconnector, and disconnector spring. You can punch them out, or use it to hold these in place within the receiver as you pin them back into place.
Thanks. Good video. Saved me some money
This kit came with my Norinco but I did not know what it was for.

Fantastic tips thanks! 😎👍
I thought you were supposed to use the bolt carrier for leverage if the gas tube wouldn't come free
