Nissan heavily promoted the 4-door and it just didn't sell; motor/trans off the defunct production line ended up in another Nissan station wagon model ( Altima? ). I have only ever seen these in Silver A very rare car
Hey Daniel, cool vid! you know there was a Autech BCNR33 in Australia for sale for $35,000AUD, it was a rare 4 door GTR and to top it off it was a from factory midnight purple (MNP) paint! for the collector for sure.
I love the R33 GTRs and this one looks great, that's until you get past the front doors, then it just looks all wrong, lol, i'm really not liking the back end at all, sorry about that :( i'm glad you got some footage of it though as i've never seen one of these before. QOTD- About 6 years ago, i was made redundant from my job testing import cars, so for three days i drove around 45 garages looking for work and leaving my details with them, and not one of them called me back, so that's quite a rejection, lol. keep up the good work Dan :)
Ah.. One of my favorite R33 after the Nismo 400R.. It is quite rare, however you can see quite a lot of them if you visit the annual R's meeting in Fuji Speedway, Dan.. You can spot them almost in every colours available... As always, nice spot!

Yeah, something looks a bit off with the wheels. Perhaps a slightly shallower sidewall than spec? I had a similar look on the Infiniti m45 I mentioned a few months back because of the previous owner putting lower profile tires on. Just made it look goofy and gave too much space between the tire and the fender.
I kind of prefer the four door R33 to its two door counterpart. My favorite four door Skyline has to be the R32 GTST, however. They look different and seem to be less popular than the two door. I would not mind the two door at all though. Haha
So rare! I wonder if you could build your own AWD sedan, or i'm thinking there isn't bolting points for the AWD system on the standard sedan? This has put me into deep thought hmm
Hate the R33 with a passion but this looks so elegant like a modern bmw or Mercedes I love it! Would be a great sleeper 😉, my rejection story as much as I feel this may get personal was one day I went out with my girlfriend, I stopped to go to the cash machine and her 2 friends confronted me asking what I would do if she dumped me! I took that as a warning that maybe she was going to and that was that... Anyway I realized my mistake a few days later after braking her heart and tried my hardest to make it back up to here even if she just wanted to be friends I was willing to accept anything at this point.. guess what, we haven't spoke in 7 years! Well that was awkward! Haha

I also had a similar kind of rejection story as I was spotting an old school type of car,l came across a deluxe Toyota Corona 1971 RT80 it had those ugly US federal bumper(ONLY THE REAR ONE) the front one was not there.So one day I went where the car was usually parked and I put a piece of paper between the bonet and the fender which says " Hello Sir if you want to sale you're car please contact me on the given number" and that guy never gave a ring to me.

i dont like r33 in general,but these autech ones are ok....about the rejections,sometimes on wreck places,when you see a coop part you simply wanna have..."no sorry,this one got sold as a whole,cant be dismantled" etc...
Its one of those cars though thats rare, but its not desirable in my opinion. obviously personal preference is what matters so who ever like its more power to ya. But if you put that car beside the same model 2 door i would with out a pause choose the 2 door. neat though

All a GTR is, is just a sportier version of the mid-sized luxury Skyline. Japanese car manufacturers tricked North Americans by having luxury divisions for those that wanted more affordable luxury vehicles but also that weren't imports. Back in the '80s I somehow got the impression that all GT-Rs were 4-doors just like the Mitsu Evo and WRX. This is a nice design, I like it very much!
