Its insane when you think about how much money goes into maintaining an NFL team. Even without the travel, they still need all that food, equipment etc.
Millions it’s crazy
It comes from our pockets 😂
littlesame ya if you watch it or go to games or buy apparel
& their salaries 😟
Makes you wonder how they survive in London, without food and stuff...
You should have a bye week before the London game
They had their bye afterwards so it kinda evens out. I'm sure the splitting of the flights helped a little bit.
@@connorleahy2792 I wonder if they all get a game the week prior in a city that has an international airport if their city doesn't have one? 🤔

@@memphisgrizzlies3398 Oh, well shit, shows you how much I know about flying
@@emac7050 Almost all airports that handle regular traffic in the US have customs, even if they don't have regular international flights.
The Raiders did it right; as soon as the Colts game ended, they got on a plane to go to London and had most if not the entire week to acclimate to the new time zone. Bears flew in late week and seemed tired.
thats what im saying why the rams spend 4 days in atlanta

I feel like the bengals just flew to London the day before and tossed the players some Doritos for a pregame meal and threw them on the field 😂
So basically a basic JV football trip where the team you play is 30 miles away, and you have no highways and your mom gives you chips and kool-aid...
Then you lose by 30, get home late and gotta go to school the next day lol...

That's a lot of words for a game they're playing against a team tanking

Geez such a logistical nightmare. Impressive how much planning goes into making London games work
More like stupid 😂 they don't care about our teams
@@andrebowling9864 Oh I absolutely agree. But the teams don't really have a choice and they do an amazing job to move an entire team thousands of miles away.
it just likes bringing a whole Batallion or Squadron to another country for Deployment. A lot of logistic involvement
@@andrebowling9864 yeah they do, those games are sold out and the ticket prices are expensive... you have fans all across the world who are Juventus, Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool supporters etc etc and they not even from the countries where those teams come from. this is how the NFL expands its fanbase by creating open minded fans to their respective sport. NFL is a small sport no where near the levels that of RUGBY, Cricket or Football. its called expansion, imagine a World Cup for American Football.

"London is my favorite city"
Los Angeles:......... wow.......
Compared to LA I would believe it. Even then I doubt the guy has looked into the laws. The uk is standing on the rubicon between the fascist eu superstate and the communists in labour. The uk has arrested more people for things they said online than russia by at least four hundred to one.
Im from san francisco, live in new york city, almost moved to LA multiple times before i moved here (been there a bunch of times) , went to London this past summer and i can definitely attest to the fact London is amazing. Its a much better "city" than LA, if you like big cities with lots of culture London is amazing. I would totally live there

So much hard work goes behind every football game, respect to everyone involved 👏👏👏👏
To be fair they could've flown coach day of the game completely jet lagged, without half the equipment, eating plane food and drinking champagne on the flight and they still would've beat the Bengals
You could’ve sent a drunk sleep deprived coach and still easily crushed the Bengals
Now the Bengals are in the Super Bowl facing the Rams. The way football teams can completely change in just a year..
Great see something complicated like this broken down into a science. Very cerebral. Love it.

if the nfl was smart, they would schedule two teams in london after they each had a bye week. that way they can get there earlier
Being a Football player in 2019 is actually the best. Cant imagine any football players pre 2000 getting this taken care of
Loved this video. As a Rams fan got to see how the Rams get ready for a road trip, whether to Atlanta or London. There is a lot of planning involved. And by the way the Rams didn't seem to mind as they won 37-10 in Atlanta and beat Cincinnati 24-10.
These videos featuring all the staff and setup etc are just too cool for words to me.
I know a lot goes into taking other sporting teams abroad but damn they really take things to the next level with the NFL
I'm fairly sure we already have electricity in London
Y'all are getting offended in the comments but it's just a procedure they have to follow it's not meant to be an insult lol
I saw this interview on how the soccer players are treated the US, basically the same thing.
two replies and both miss the point. The electricity in the uk runs hotter and can fry equipment easier. Bringing a generator you can take with you.. such as a practice field removes some undesirable outcomes with a preemptive solution.
Realistically something previously probably went wrong so they put it on the to bring list.
They bring generators in us games just in case the power runs out. They bring generators every where so you don't have to get offended
its standard procedure, having backup solution just incase any problem occurs is protocol. Think like Batman, better to be prepare for every solution, the more command of the situation you are the less likely an issue is to arise.
This was amazing!!! When I watch the games I think about this but I didn’t realize how much goes into it
It's pretty cool that you guys gave an in depth look on the behind the scenes and logistic of the international game.
This is Exactly why there will never be a team in London
The games in London never disappoint 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

SuperRugby Teams: Am I a joke to you?

Great video!
I can’t imagine the Bengals did any of this. Mike Brown is like “wait how much does it cost?!? No way”.
Amazing people
And to think 2 years later they are playing each other in the super bowl 2022
This is why a franchise in London wouldn’t work, away games would take so much time to prepare for
DZsquid formula 1 moves teams all over the world with much more equipment than the NFL week in week out. They can do it. Its just about whether they want the UK market enough.
@@syco50 Formula 1 drivers don't train physically to the levels of NFL players... UK would need its own league entirely, and the elite of the elite face each other in world championship division after each respectable seasons, 1 game every 2 to 3 weeks.
Defcat u lose hush
Patrick Chen u lose hush
DZsquid it could work easily if they manage the schedule. East coast teams play in London and west coast can play Monday or after a bye. There’s only like 4 teams on the west coast anyway so the super long flight time isn’t the norm.
Would’ve loved a brief part about player/staff logistics especially regarding passports and stuff like that
I was at that game. Also traveled from the west coast to London. My trip's logistic was so much simpler than them.
Great BTS videos, the info is dope!
Imagine doing all this and losing. I wouldn’t want to be the equipment people for the browns

Insane. Wouldn't think of half of this stuff
“We like our guys to sleep at 68 degrees Fahrenheit”
Couch Professional he’s making a joke because it’s oddly specific
It's because in the UK we use Celsius not Fahrenheit ..
Jayden Rhone ikr 😂
68 degrees Fahrenheit aka 20 degrees Celsius is not an oddly specific number... 20c degrees is room temperature its the perfect balance for the human body and its metabolism during sleep time, it also helps those players with allergies or more prone to getting the cold or the flu. common for all professional players across the world specially those travelling abroad.
Reminds me of the Wendover Productions video
This was more interesting than i thought it would be..
I used to work for the Ravens flagship station. I had nothing to do with sports but, without going into too much detail, broadcasters have similar logistical considerations.

The Raiders were smart to go to London early it helped this year

Have the Patriots ever done an 'across the pond' game?
Twice, but not since 2012 against the Rams. The other was 2009 against the Bucs. Both were blowout victories. They also did the Mexico City game in 2017.
The only NFL team that will never have played a London game after Houston plays its first tomorrow is the Packers.
Kraft says that he wants the Patriots to be the first team to play an international game in Germany in a couple of years (if the commissioner allows it)
They fly everything including their players on their Patriots plane n win games🤣🤣🤣🤣💞
Thought you were on to a conspiracy huh. Anything to discredit a great team. Little man 😂
@@blackbehemoth6073 Just a question, dude. I admire the Patriots 2 decades of dominance. No need to resort to slights.
Most West Coast teams play on the East Coast the week prior, and fly out Wednesday or Thursday.

Imagine playing baseball and doing this everyday 😂
It’s the get back coach!
Incredible how much effort they have to put into this. Also, what happens to the equipment that took them 5 months to send to the UK? Do they bring it back and receive it 5 months later?
since they're no longer on an actual timetable for when they need that gear back, they probably put it on a cheaper/longer freight shipping route and just get it back during the offseason; plus, they have less stuff to ship back, since all of those consumables like food and perishable medical supplies are obviously gonna be used up, so no need to provision as much shipping capacity
According to Pat Macafee lots of edibles
Wouldn't it be smarter if the NFL just stored basic supplies like IT and medical for all teams in London all year round? Every team only has a single game in London, but that way it can be used by all teams that play in London. Just ask the teams what they need (it will probably not differ that much) and then split the (much lower) bill.
I think that would cost even more
Matt personal experience huh
I went to the game as well 😁😁🏈
Very interesting! I love logistics too. Turkey & Cheese sandwiches? When they're over here they need to try Cheese and Branston Pickle Sandwiches. There is nothing better!
Erm, we have top quality avocados in the UK, thank you very much!
No, you don't. Most of your produce is pretty bad. I love the UK, and its people, but the food quality is just sub par.
@@MisterOwlz given that it appears you don’t live here then you wouldn’t know. Brexit has fucked us but the quality of “produce” is very good. Please tell me you’re not from the US with all your artificial crap?!
@@MisterOwlz What's that based on exactly? The food quality is better than the US in alot of cases with more stringent regulations regarding additives, preservatives etc. Just because something might taste different in the UK, doesn't make it sub par.
Ofc, there are always gonna be some things that are more easily sourced fresh on the other side of the world like Avocados, and vice versa. But both the US and UK are wealthy developed nations with plenty of good food to go around.
@@matthowells6382 They're not grown there so it probably wouldn't taste as good which is what the team gets which is what he's saying, and you don't have the amount the team would probably need to feed everyone there. If it's anything like that chicken that was being cooked on that grill it doesn't look to good! lol
So basically if NFL wanna introduce a London Franchise. 2 bye weeks are necessary.
That will never happen. Theres too much that would have to go into it to have a team at the other side of the ocean.
Chague yeah sure. You fly 2000 miles from LA to New York and 2000 from New York to London. Where is the difference ?
@@DailyShit. how about LA to London?
One game across the pond with a bye week after won’t be that hard to manage. The only concern would probably come when it’s playoff time. London team definitely has to do 4 away games straight and need a temporary US facility.
Actually I heard that they want to extend a few more weeks so they could get another bye week.
Cool
My get-back coach
Why do they make such a big deal about playing in a difrent contry when rugby teams always go 9ver t9 other country's every week

Now we need to see a football game in the US.
Bills should have a game in Canada
Why don’t they just buy this stuff in London
Lol you cant just buy that equipment
You cant just buy that shit stupid they have their own equipment that they need
Antdog 678 you can buy medical equipment in the UK. Only the team specific items like helmets, jerseys, or specific practice equipment would need to be sent.
