Glad it helped. I'm not an expert, but I thought it might be helpful to see someone's first reel drag clicker installation. And see that mistakes are sometimes part of the process. :)
I really want to put in a clicker for my D SV100, but its too new of a model for it to be listed as compatible. But I can’t see the drag washers being any different in size if the drive gear is the same. I ordered a kit for the TW103 or SV on Amazn, lets see if it will work.
@@abelabner Not that I've seen. I love the Gomexus in the Tatula. the clicker just lets it down... I've considered sourcing the Salamandura clicker, but haven't worked that hard yet. :)
@@AaronHuntFishing I had that same idea, even contacting Daiwa service dept. with no reply. If you do ever find out if it can be done or a better clicker kit becomes available please do a video. Thanks for your reply and great videos!
Actually Aaron did it right the first time. I assembled mine the second way and after using the reel a few times the drag felt funny so I opened it up… the thin metal clicker had eaten up my drag washer pretty well! You need the thicker metal piece against the drag washer with the clicker behind it. If the clicker isn’t loud enough just bend the prong down more.
@@AaronHuntFishing I was searching on alieexpress already but had no luck. But i did find a drag clicker for my daiwa tatula 200 type hd and pisficun aloy m 300 strangely enough 🤔
I recently received the gomex spool. What are the white plastic peices it comes with for ? Or where do they go? Great video will be adding drag clicker to mine soon 👍
You mention the green piece needs to be on last. But then I see other people put the green piece before the clicker. Now, I'm confused, which way is correct?
I had it the other way and it does not ficntion., And hoenstly, not totally thrilled witht he clicker in general. not the same quality as the finer OEM clickers. Which makes me wonder if I can drop the Salamandura clicker in this? Hmm...
I'm thinking Power BFS, mostly crankbaits. Maybe Buzz baits. Or I may switch the Helium/SLX BFS combo to that duty and throw paddletail swimbaits with this.
@@AaronHuntFishing Thats kind of what I assumed. I had been looking at an Alphas tw 800s for that roll, but after watching this I may take this route if I can find a deal on a tatula.
I beleive it is - for the moving parts. So do many reel maintenance pros. use either the 3-in-1 or spool bearing oil for the spool bearings. 100 is too heavy for those.
I would say Favorably. Haven't put them head to head, but I like fishing with both of them. Curado BFS has a clicker, and it's a good clicker. I like the looks of the Tatula better. I also haven't pushed either really light. Tha'ts not how I have them set up regarding the rods they are own and the techniques I fish them.
Nice video brother , very helpful

Good luck. I really want to find a micro-drag kit. Maybe I just need the Salamandura drag for this one.
Hello, can i know the size of that deag clicker in mm
link is in the description - biut it's not on the same level as OEM BFS drags...
What's messed up is the directions on Aliexpress state for us to do it the pre-edit way. Jeez, thanks for helping us out!
either way, the clicker kinda sucks tbh.
Great. Any others you have seen that may be ok?

Good video! Is there a way to order and install a drag clicker for the tatula tw 100 23/24?
Probably just have to google it - there may not be as clickers are mostly BFS features, and 100 size is getting a little big. But maybe...

I didn;t look at them closely, but my best guess is they are little stickers to place on your line to keep it from unspooling.

Super cool project Aaron. What role do you think this reel will play in your arsenal?

Hello sir, is the super lube iso vg 100 thw best choice for a reel? I mean, it will last longer?

How does this reel compare to the curado bfs?

Do you think that the dragclicker is good because it doesnt look smooth
I'm not loving it so far, waiting to put a decent sized fish on it. It's not as good as the stock in the Salamandura, for sure.
