For anyone that needs encouragement, At the end of this month I will have paid off my third credit card. I began this journey this past July. My fourth and last card is the largest and will take me the entire 2025 to pay off. I don’t feel too bad, bc this card carries work I had to get done on my house. But I’m determined! Keep going, do not let debt rule you!
This is a good budget for January!! You are doing amazing job! 😊 Very inspiring. I need all the encouragement I can get.😊 Please don't let the incident with the sales manager get to you. Please don't quit, obviously you are doing a great job if other team members want you to stay. Plus the income can help you pay off your debt sooner. Think about it some more before you make a final decision. I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks
You continue to amaze me with your discipline! Paying off debt over here too...driving old vehicles and living in a small house. Enjoying less stress! Keep it up!
Your videos are so helpful to me. I really appreciate your honesty. I’ve always had my accounts at a credit union because of exorbitant bank fees. Even the credit card and loan interest rates and fees are cheaper at credit unions. Also, I buy an Amazon gift card at the beginning of each month for the amount that I have budgeted for the month. This practice has drastically reduced my Amazon impulse buying.
If you view your RUclips money as "monolopy money" you could just play the game well and put it all now on your carpayment or other debt 💁♀️🙌🙏😀 You are doing great!
I kind of took a similar approach to “acting like it doesn’t exist” and “living on less” these past few months, too! It’s been working well, and I actually saved $2500 last month! Now if I can just keep the momentum going throughout the year. That’s the difficult part, though 🙈
I agree that you should cancel your music subscription. It's not a big amount but you don't seem to use it much. About your You tube Monopoly money and your bigger side hustle money, I understand that you don't want to plan with this money in mind, in case it disappears. But you do have it, so why don't you throw it at your car debt at the end of the month (as a bonus payment, not as your normal payment)? You would be done sooner. Or wait for your Lyme disease bill to come in, pay that, and then put the rest on the car debt. :) I don't know why but I'm really invested in your debt payment journey! haha
Just curious but why are you not planning to use your savings/ RUclips money to pay off the car early? Seems like you could be debt free within 1-2 months max and then start aggressively saving for retirement after? I only wonder this because your income is so high that you could cover unforeseen circumstances/ emergencies as they come. Super excited at your progress you are so freaking close!
RUclips has a free sound library. It's not great but if you take a bit of time to browse it's perfectly good for some use here and there. Recently I got a short flagged even though I thought I used royalty free music so I changed it directly in YT from their library in about 5 minutes and even tho I like the original more, it's perfectly satisfying.
good girl always look at statements from banks. They are always charging you for things. Good that you changed banks. Love to hear your progress. Sincerely, Katy
Hi, I love yoir videos. I do a zeeo based budget. If you put maybe a line item as buffer that will then give you zero. So, it's about them same as what you're doing except the zero includes a buffer or extra money. It helped me alot.
Hi thank you for being so transparent… it’s a learning process for everyone 👍 I would not treat my you tube money as “monopoly money” just sitting there! What a waste, I would open a Mutual fund/ S&P 500 it would make great interest just don’t touch it. A loyal follower from New Bedford 🐳
On your RUclips money…I would wait until you file your 2024 taxes since you’ll get a 1099 for it, but whatever is left taxes, maybe put that towards your car?
I love the idea of acting like some of the money doesn't exist and not adding it to your budget. I support that! Especially if it's a variable income. Totally agree about the music, we're not here for the ambience haha :-D I feel like your budgeting has become leaner ☺ Btw what do you use to record the screen/video where you insert yourself alongside the budget?
From experience, I say Epidemic Sound isn't worth it (especially if you don't use much of it for your typical videos). RUclips audio library does the trick.
Yep I was duped by the RP app as well. It’s not a good layout. I use Caliber which is ok and usually they have discounts. Glad for you to be debt free soon!
I have similar spending habits to yours and your videos have really helped me. I’m not someone who is just going to give up everything to get out of debt, you’re one of the only people in a similar situation and mindset actually putting themselves out there. And while it’s none of my business and I should stfu, why you living with a man, paying for dates and offering to pay bills with no ring. Girl!
@dbalemon we decided as a family to buy only for the children this year. We all just have too much stuff and spend a lot of the new year releasing clutter. I really want to refocus Christmas on family time and traditions instead of purchases.
Signed up for Simplifi at a discount. Figuring out my set up. Wish it had the debt payoff included. I like “stuff I forgot” category. Is the AAA recurring or $61 fee for annual roadside maybe?
Or she can get on a family/friend/her boyfriend’s AAA account. My friend is on mine once my mom quit driving, much cheaper than having two, like a phone plan.

My Quicken Simplifi link is affiliate but I prefer not to use anything else at this point. I’d rather not suggest something unless I wholeheartedly believe in it and as of right now, nothing falls into that category. But love the comment, thanks so much for your suggestion.
