I like to see the motor being lifted by the pulley. Well done

It appears the motor is also free to oscillate on the horizontal plane. What effect does this have on the belt tension? It would initially appear that the speed of the platter would be affected by horizontal movement of the motor. Thanks.

After watching this video, I became interested in getting these springs. I could definitely hear the motor hum in between tunes on records. The video looked simple enough. You just have to install the springs. Buyer beware!!!! As it turns out, I have the TD-124 MK I. For that turntable you have to buy the extenders (rods) in order to install the springs. When the springs showed up in the mail, they came with no instructions to show you just how to install the springs and extenders. I contacted Jaap and he emailed me 3 pictures with unclear instructions. Really???? He also sent me the link of the above video. This video doesn't give you step by step instructions if you have a MK I. Installing the springs on this turntable is much more involved. Jaap and company seem like nice guys, but come on, you have to do another video for the MK I installation. Not everyone is a mechanic. Some of us, like myself are musicians. We make the music that's on the records. You have to have some know how to do this installation. Jaap should mention this on their website. I had to hire Mike Trei who's a turntable expert to come to my house to do the installation. All that being said, there was a noticeable difference in turntable motor vibration. You couldn't hear it at all which definitely lifted my listening experience. I would recommend this installation to anyone, but it's not for non mechanically minded folks. At the same time I'm begging you to please, please post a step by step video on spring installation for the TD-124 MK I. I believe it would help out the next person buying this great modification. Thanks. K.W.

littlejazz1 Hey I have a Mark 1, and I have both the springs and posts. Same deal, just pictures instead of directions. Any tips your TT guy recommends on installing these?

Where/how on the TD124 do you connect the signal analyzer? I would like to do this measurement with my own signal analyzer.
