  • / @nenrikigaming Punch-Out (NES) adapted & re-released/re-branded version Featuring Mr. Dream.
Welcome to my channel! In today’s video, I’ll be diving into the retro gaming world of “Punch-Out!!” for the NES. Strap on your gloves, because we’re about to step into the ring with some classic 8-bit action!
Punch-Out!!, developed and published by Nintendo in 1987 (in 1990 this re-issue), is a knockout boxing video game. It’s an adaptation of the beloved arcade titles Punch-Out!! and Super Punch-Out!! from 1984.
As Little Mac, a scrappy young boxer hailing from the Bronx, you’ll climb the ranks of the World Video Boxing Association (WVBA). Your goal? To become the ultimate champ!
The game features three circuits of opponents: the Minor, Major, and World circuits. You’ll face off against a colorful cast of 14 opponents, from the infamous Glass Joe to the enigmatic Mr. Dream.
Get ready to bob, weave, and throw punches as you prove your mettle in the squared circle.
Punch-Out!! straddles the line between sports and fighting genres. It’s not just about brute force; strategy and timing are key. And guess who’s officiating the bouts? None other than Mario himself, making a cameo appearance as the referee!
There are three versions of this game:
The elusive “Gold version”, available only (very limited) in Japan for the Famicom, pits you against the formidable Super Macho Man. The more widespread “Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!” features Iron Mike as your final opponent. My focus (in this video) is on “Punch-Out!!”, where you’ll square off against the mysterious Mr. Dream.
Ever wanted to take down an opponent with a single punch? Well, Glass Joe and Piston Honda (in the second bout) can be defeated in just one hit! Check out the video for that.
And those One Hit Knockdown Conditions? Yeah, they’re real. Each opponent has their own tricks up their sleeve.
To unleash your special attack, you’ll need those coveted “stars”. Each opponent has a unique method for earning them.
Study your opponents’ behavioral patterns-they telegraph their moves if you’re sharp enough.
And remember, knowing how to counter attacks is essential. Dodge, duck, and weave like a champ!
Join me as we step into the ring and relive the glory days of Punch-Out!!. Smash that like button, subscribe, and let’s throw some pixelated punches together! 🥊🎮
Remember, it’s not about the size of the fighter; it’s about the size of the heart! 💪

I always feel amazed whenever I watch nes punch-out because to me it's tantamount to sorcery. I've died a handful of times years ago to first 2 guys handedly.
Too hard to play for my skill level set lo as it be.

He has the exact same attack patterns as the OG Mike Tyson, they just changed up the name and spritework
