Crash Test Drama (Round 2) Highlights

What another wonderful selection of entertaining, thoughtful, funny, intriguing plays we had for our second Crash Test Drama event of the year.
Our enthusiastic audience included writers we’ve not seen for a long while, those who were directing for the first time and actors who had only come down to watch.
Crash Test Drama certainly gives the opportunity to step outside our usual boundaries.
The results were as follows...
AUDIENCE CHOICE
1st Place: ‘Having the Prawn’ - 32 votes
Written by Katrina Samaras, directed by Lila Micevska.
2nd Place: ‘Chloe and Brad’ - 23 votes
Written & directed by Sharon Hart.
3rd Place: ‘B.Y.O.’ - 20 votes
Written by Robert Luxford and directed by Melissa Myles.
JUDGE'S CHOICE
Our judge for the day was Norah George and her picks were:
Best Play: ‘B.Y.O.’ written by Robert Luxford and directed by Melissa Myles.
Best Actor: Michael Gooley (in B.Y.O.)
Runner-up Actor: Jade Swain (in B.Y.O.)
Thanks must go to Melanie Roffey, who once again, organised the memberships, ticket sales, purchasing of food and prizes. Also a big shout out to Craig Bulmer who excelled as the MC for the day.
