  • This is a little experiment to see what power usage reduction there might be with a Thread-based Wemo (Belkin) versus the original WiFi version. Among the touted advantages of Thread is that it uses significantly less power. So, let check it out!

    Well, power consumption (completely unexpectedly!) depends of the implementation :D
    I have a DIY Thread-based thermometer built on nRF52840 + DS18b20. With 2xAA batteries, it runs for ~30..35 days - with sending data every 30 seconds. So, as for me, it is pretty power efficient..

    Do the Matter outlets also serve as routers for the network like some other (zwave, Zigbee) outlets?
