Kyrie was looking so good until the finals, man that 35 point game was special but besides that it was all Luka. All Kyrie needed to do was make sure he drops the same amount of points as Luka. 2016 Kyrie was dropping 30 points every game, but sadly not everybody has Lebron’s consistency.
He’s just one dimensional and inefficient. Is he one of the best statistically with his mid range game? Yes. But even then deep contested twos going in at 40% is just not good offense. Very aesthetically pleasing offense of course, and I love watching him, but it is what it is.
I mean yeah against Boston he was inefficient. But his career as a whole (especially post Cavs) he’s a really efficient player. 50/40/90 seasons on that kinda volume don’t grow on trees. Which is what made these finals so disappointing for him.
@@seemeboihahaha3507 I'm hoping that the Mavs can get rid of the dead weight like Powell, THJ, etc and Nico can work some magic and maybe get Mikal or Jimmy who's trade values might be low after last season's disappointments. I doubt that it's possible but one could hope lol.
How y’all not see this coming Boston has been in kyries head since he left, he’s done the stupid antics but in the end it’s what you do on the floor. He won’t admit, he screwed the team over, and derailed it for years. Until you’ve honest with yourself you will never have peace
Eh idk, he still had some incredible moments in these playoffs. Honestly the fact he was so great against Minnesota is what makes what happened against Boston so disappointing. Unless you’re gonna get a clear upgrade (which is hard to do when it’s trying to upgrade from a player like Kyrie) it’s not worth it. Wouldn’t completely overreact to the team losing to a team that steamrolled everyone this season.
Kyrie has bad juju that he needs to atone for. He's also unrelatable to nearly everyone. I don't doubt his work ethic one bit. Stomping on the celtics mascot as an adult is wild. He obviously feels guilt and unaccounted guilt can lead to self destruction.

They always were. Path to the finals or not, they showed they were the team they were all season, the best in the NBA
