- By using winter protection techniques such as insulating the roots, safeguarding the foliage, and utilizing the sheltered warmth of my south-facing house, I've successfully grown a variety of exotic fruit plants-including citrus (Yuzu, Unshiu Satsuma, Aldi Lemon, Kucle Kumquat, Meyer Lemon, Awari Satsuma) and Jenny kiwi-right here in the cold UK winter. Watch to see how I cultivate and enjoy these delicious fruits despite the chilly weather! #youtubevideo #youtube #viral #viralvideo #diy #fyp #trending #ExoticFruits #WinterGardening #GrowYourOwn #CitrusPlants #KiwiPlants #ColdClimateGardening #GardeningUK #UrbanGardening #WinterHarvest #Homegrown#foodie #cooking #motivation #inspiration #love #like #subscribe #share #support#goals#organicfood #vegetables #fruit #permaculture
Cute kiwi 🥝. Also very nice tamarillo you sent to Peter
Awesome!
This is fabulous!
You're doing a great job💖💖
Please don't forget to give me a thumbs up, share and subscribe for more about the exotics I am growing. Until next time, happy gardening.
great use of a southern exposure and the enclosures youve built for the more tender stuff. that fuzzy kiwi is hardy to my zone, might have to check it out!
I highly recommend this fuzzy Jenny Kiwi 'raregrows', it is self fertile and planted in the right location, it needs minimal maintenance.
Your citrus trees are looking really healthy, Mike! It's great to see so many fruits on your Kiwi vine, too! I need to plant my Jenny Kiwi vine in the ground somewhere this year. I've had it in a pot for almost exactly two years, and it's in desperate need of repotting.
Everything looks great Mike. Have those Jenny kiwi gone a bit soggy from freeze damage ?
Some of them are soft but not soggy Brett. The hairs on the Jenny kiwi is like and insulating blanket and provides a good level of protection against cold and environmental stress.
