    never EVER seen a tutorial in my life ending with "Wow, that's almost six minutes, I'm gonna stop that!" pulled out of thin air in the middle of what obviously seems like thinking of what else to say...left me speechless, in disbelief, and has made my day! This should be made a meme, being a gem in its own right!

    How do you push yourself forward (or backward) while on your toes.
    I can move and turn with the momentum, but once it's gone, I'm stuck

    Great Tutorial, Loved it :D..Specially the part where you tell us,"You will not do 2nd swan,just bcoz you think you can" We do tend to get a bit overconfident i agree, n your tone was perfect to prevent us from doing so :-)..

      Actually, you can totally go and do the 2nd Swan (I mean, who could resist??) but, just remember that every time you do, you could be damaging your muscle memory for being eventually able to do 10 or more in a row.

    full cresent rocker wheels inline skates? for free style slalom skaters can you still use flat setup 80mm for this technique

    • @MrWeAllAreOne
      @MrWeAllAreOne 10 лет назад

      You can but why on earth would you want to. I have only been skating for 1 year and after only 6 weeks bought Sebastian Egor pros,pre-rockerd 80mm. I street skate in these on every kind of surface and just love how much more control I have with them. I'm now teaching myself slalom. Btw I am 48 years young.
      So as I said why have a flat set up?

      +Street Skater 66 A flat setup helps keep control when going in a straight line and limits speed wobble. Its good for beginners and speed skaters since its a very stable setup. I was happy with it until I started learning slalom, and the side-to-side movement was too restricting for most moves. This is where a banana rocker works wonders, making the side-to-side motion a lot slicker, tip-to-heel movement very smooth and proving a lot more control in general turning. The few downsides are that since only 2 wheels ever touch the ground (mainly the centre 2), they can wear down a lot quicker. Also, the speed wobble is a lot more common, but by doing slalom you build your leg muscles which will limit it happening. This setup is not great for beginners since they tend to struggle with balance, and the fact that you can roll front to back in addition to the regular wheel rotation, it can be very difficult to get used to it (it took me around 2 weeks to get used to a banana rocker). But such a setup is similar to ice hockey skates so the skills are pretty transferable.

    She's right the Toe Snake takes time to pick up correctly! Its not easy doing Toe snake very slowly! With momentum I it's a breeze.

    Yes you can, though you'll find it harder without the support of a skate made for freestyle.
