Agreed 💯 this match was the quality I've loved Bout AEW. I was glad that we couldn't tell when or who would win. This is the kind of in ring action fans want!

This was an interesting match in that Luchasaurus battled through adversity like a babyface at times, and didn't actively participate in Cage's cheating. Not sure if it's on purpose, but it's almost like the "monster heel" is being protected somewhat from getting "opportunistic heel" type of heat. Bodes well for him getting a redemption storyline, if booked properly.
I noticed that in this match, luchasaurus even did sum of his old moves and never cheated
He's basically brainwashed by Cage
i think its key to mention he also purposely raised luchas bad hand, he went to the good hand then reverted to raise his bad hand, i don't know why but that felt like that meant something, like he's brainwashed and cage knows he can punish him in a sense , i don't know maybe I'm wrong but that's what i felt watching it, like in a sense we want to feel sympathy for lucha

I'm sure there's gonna be another rematch between them at Full Gear, and the stipulation will be in a steel cage match. Jungle Boy vs Cage will probably happen at Revolution depends on Cage's recovery.
Luchasaurus switching hands for the chokeslam was a great detail.
It was no "detail" he legit fucked up his arm. That's AEW for you. If Lucha was fully abled. He'd have got for the chokeslam and totally for got to sell. Thank god he did get injured and was forced to ACTUALLY sell and wrestle

Some AEW haters be crazy.
I've always thought Luchasaurus would make a great big man. Many don't like his gimmick but he is a big guy that has moves of wrestlers half his weight.
When I saw AEW Double or Nothing 2019 and Luchasaurus came out, I was like "Who is this dinosaur version of Kane!?" and I was hooked on him ever since. Back then he was literally their biggest guy along with Dustin Rhodes before Jake Hager, Lance Archer, etc came along. I really hoped he was going to get a great push and it seems he's permanent mid-card / upper-card enhancement talent now.
I don't care about the dinosaur gimmick. The look is great, especially now with the black, the intro w/ his pyro a while back was amazing, and he is entertaining to watch. I wish Jurassic Express had a better run with the tag titles, but Christian is best as a heel. I just wish Luchasaurus wasn't "just the muscle" for someone and was given a run like Wardlow.
100% agree i had to rewatch this a couple of times because there are not many big guys that can defy gravity like that

It’s always great to see a match between 2 good friends because they have great chemistry.

I like how christian makes luchasaurus holds up the arm he’s supposedly hurt on.
He even switched sides deliberately when he realized that he couldn't face the camera properly!

Small seed for an eventual betrayal by Luchasaurus. In wrestling, history has shown that monsters/big guys eventually get tired of playing bodyguard or second fiddle.

The feud is clearly not over yet. The next step is that Jungle Boy needs to neutralize Christian, either bringing in support of his own or some sort of match where Christian is banned from ringside.
There is no reason to ban Christian from ringside when Jungle Boy gets someone to be in his corner at ringside.

This match was great
Even if you didn't know anything about these two and just so happened to tune in while channel surfing, you'd instantly feel there was some type of story here. The crowd gasping at every 2 count. This is really the sleeper in aew and the best story they have imo. I LOVE Christians role in this feud. I love the aesthetic of this little guy fighting this savage man. Both of them bring something to the table that makes it believable in-ring. I'm not even a little guy wrestler fan, at least not this JB little, but I can't deny JB's talent. His ability and the way he executes is great! Lucha is my boy! I just hope these three really realize what they have going. May not be the headliner, but it's awesome storytelling, awesome performance and a great job!

Jungle Boy is really a great talent and this match was a really great match and a great victory by Luchasaurus but in my opinion Jungle Boy needed a victory and I hope that if he rematches Luchasaurus Jungle Boy wins because he has he serves a win in this feud between Luchasaurus and Christian Cage 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
