@@FrailSerenity You think so? I once tried one and it tasted like sugar. Delicious sugar, but just overwhelmingly sweet and not much more (it was a regular macaroon). To me it's overpriced sugar, but I still like the challenge as a hobby baker.

I love all the details and how well you show how to do everything! I do have a question though....did you have to pop the cake in the fridge at all while decorating? It seems that it might start to melt while doing some decorating. Thank you!
I actually just left it out this time as I was decorating and refrigerated later! It is quite cool now where I live though so if it’s warm I do suggest intermittently putting it in the fridge 🥰
I was trying to figure out how you were going to make that cake come together with the Harley Quinn character, you exceeded my expectations!!!! Super creative really elegantly put together cake! My daughter's 5th birthday party is this weekend, and I totally feel you on the exhaustion and anxiety about everything!! Everything turned out beautiful, I'm so sad I'm not close enough to order from you.
When they’re younger I do these HUGE dessert setups, but now I’m glad we can go to venues where all I have to worry about is the cake and a few treats 😅. Hope everything goes well with your daughter’s party!!

It's funny that you mentioned the fact that the buttercream finish wasn't as important on this one because of all the details you would be adding - I finally discovered that same thing recently with a cake I made, and now I know how much time I can save on the frosting step when I'm making a cake with lots of goodies on it! This is SO cute and fun!! 💙✨

Hi! I can't find a pro series mat with the circles on it. Can you help me? Are the pro series mats the same as silpat?
What an amazing mom! You rock! How did you get Aria to tell you exactly what she wanted? Did she just know, or did you have to coax it out of her? I'm trying to figure out how to fulfill customer's wishes when they're not quite sure how to describe them or if they don't have a picture. Can't be much different from asking a 5-yeah-old, right?!
Thanks so much. Haha you got that right! Sometimes breaking it down at an elementary level is easiest. Ari was pretty specific about the rainbow colours, drip and buttercream swirls on top, but I did need to consult a few pics on Instagram to make sure that I was interpreting her vision correctly! When she said Harley Quinn cake, I thought of something totally different so it took a solid 15-20 minutes to make sure I had nailed the details down to her specifications 💕🥰

Just the cake decorating! The baking time takes about an additional 45 minutes :) Thanks so much for watching
Hi, great cake!!! Question: is the white butter cream with the stripes frozen? Before you put the colors on the stripes?
No--but I think I should've whipped it altogether in a big batch to help combat some of my air bubbles!!

I have the same mixer! Yes making that many batches, it takes me forever!!!! And a day hahahaha.
@@candicebaker2663 ooo it doesn’t bleed that easily actually! If you’re worried you can definitely place it in the fridge for a bit, but it’s all about how much buttercream you apply in the first place that will really help you. Definitely recommend trying it out!!

Hey Ashley. In some countries in Europe, student housing don't have a big oven in the kitchen or sometimes people only have the mini oven / microwave.
As a professional bakker can you give advice on:
1. what you kinda product you can sell with no oven ?? Or bake free products idea??
2. What do you need as a beginner in cookie decorating?

things that can be made on a hob:
- homemade fudge/toffee(/marshmallows, but that's a bit more faff)
- anything that involves melting chocolate or marshmallows and using it to "glue" solid bits together. rocky road/cornflake cakes/rice crispy squares
- welsh cakes/drop scones
- steamed sponges
What kind of cam and mic do you use for these,videos?

I'm curious, did you give her full reign to ask for anything, or were there some limits? because free reign sounds terrifyingly open-ended. she could've asked for 8 different flavours in the cake, rainbow macarons and a whole range of different school cookies, requiring entirely separate doughs.
what you did make was amazing, I'm just wondering because there is only so much time/mental bandwidth available.
Haha valid question! I think for some kids that totally would’ve been a plausible ask, but knowing my daughter I knew she would stay within a particular realm so I gave her free reign with that knowledge. I even offered to make her a whole Harley Quinn out of cake, but she was very specific about wanting this!

Do you just boil your egg whites and sugar instesd of putting them in a bowl over a pot of water?
I put the whipping egg whites in the stand mixer and then add in the hot sugar 🥰
