I know we all love Cantonese, but unless you know tens of language in near native level, know the historic and linguistic aspect behind them, making these kind of judgement is just looked naive. Especially in an international environment. Imagine hearing a foreigner saying "After hearing your language, that makes me think the language I speak is a beautiful language" I know you probably don't mean that way, but people are so used to saying "Our language is so good. It is so deep. It carries heritage." How many languages did they compare?

The same day, Japan invaded Hong Kong and were totally brutal to Hong Kongers both Cantonese and British. Im a Hong Konger albeit I LEFT! Im upset over changes. Id love to go home but only if Democracy and individual freedoms are again respected.My father only spoke nine lnguages fluently, but thats not too bad for total fluency! Keep learning. I found speaking easier than writing Cantonese but I also wernt to Maryknoll Sisters school (what it was called then).Some of my siblings are better at languages than I am, so I am quite impressed with your progress. Guresu, believe me. There's a lot of big opportunities ahead if you also include Indonesian. Along with the economic growth and infrastructure development, now more and more people want to learn Indonesian and the number will increase in the future.
