Did you ever have any issue with the lock/unlock button on the head unit not working? I have a Kenwood DMX709S head unit, and the touch screen controls for the heated seats and rear windshield defroster also don't work as well. The key fob lock and unlock buttons (separate) still work. Also note that the door unlock/lock button on the center of the head unit, seems to only work when the door is opened and it briefly gives power. After the dome light goes off (if set to door open/close), the lock/unlock center console button no longer has power; that is, unless you either turn the key in the ignition, hit the locks on the key fob, or open the door. I tried checking all the fuses and relays, which are good and mainly in the engine bay fuse box. I even checked the 2nd fuse box that's in the driver side of the dash, on the side of the fan vent; nothing. I didn't bother going to the 3rd fuse "box" located in the trunk, under the carpet and mats, since I think there's nothing related there, not to mention it requires the trunk panels to be removed.... iMaestro dash kit buttons not working
Very well made video! But I do have 2 questions. Is there an aftermarket backup camera thats compatible with that setup? And does that system have navigation or a way to integrate it?
I still uses my ipod in my 2011 camaro in the arm rest compartment will I still be able to use it with this kit I like the looks of it plus it cheaper than the pac which I brought last year and sent it back last year lls
Did you have to cut and splice into the factory wiring harness or did you have a connected to plug into the factory wiring harness to prevent cutting the factory harness?
on is sat radio and the other is fm usually the one in the white plug connector is fm and gold is SAT just depends on the colors you have but that should be them
Hey so I have a camaro ls and I have put this type of stereo to my car do I have to buy the dash board as well or can I still use the one I have in the car?
Are you saying you have an aftermarket radio in now and you just want to swap aftermarket radios if so then yes you can use the same dash kit. If you have the factory in now then you will need to buy the dashkit
I have a 2011 Camaro LS and I got the cam1 with a pioneer avh-601ex but when I plugged it in it sounds out of phase. No bass and super low audio. Any idea what it could be?
yes and no yes because the factory antenna wont fit the aftermarket radio so you need it if you want to listen to the radio. no because if you dont listen to the radio everything else will work perfectly fine without it. just no fm radio.
@@jptheinstallguy thanks buddy I already find it out, there's a perfect fit antenna adapter online for those Camaro and some GM that works nice and now my signal radio is better than ever , even get rid of my led lights interference noise www.amazon.com/dp/B0007WW64Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SKn-EbX83HFWA
Can I use the Maestro rr with any radio I choose and still have the gauges, vehicle information and climate displayed on screen? Or do I need the Pioneer radio?
The maestro will work for any radio that is idatalink maestro ready but it depends on the car to what car features you may have for example i did a newer mustang and the maestro rr retains a/c and heated seats in the radio but my 08 camry the rr only shows stuff like gauges, battery voltage, tire pressure and if a door is open but i want it for the tire pressure soni was ok plus it had my steering wheel controls built in
@@jptheinstallguy ok I got the bypass module. On the maestro black box do I use the light green wire with the bypass and radio E-brake. Or just use the bypass and radio E-brake wire.
@@dreday4612 just use the one from the radio. The one coming from the harness doesn't matter when you bypass. It's literally there on the harness so you don't have to run a wire all the way to the e brake switch so when bypassing radios ebrake only use the radio.
