Stress speeds up aging. I was using the book 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels to learn some mindfulness meditations, it's helped a lot to learn to calm down. I also like the Tao Te Ching and The Power of Now. It's so important to spend time in silence every day to unburden the heart and mind.

Red light therapy (small Mito Red unit) most definitely helped my almost 80 year old mom recover quickly from knee surgery and no doubt helped your recovery. I love mine. But being in top physical condition plays a big part in surgery recovery. My first two C Sections I was an aerobics instructor for years before and all the way through my pregnancies. A week after I couldn’t even tell I had a surgery from my energy and ability to run up stairs etc. I had to be mindful to remember doctors instructions even though I still had staples. Exercise works too.

Hi JJ. I just found you on the Doctors Farmacy podcast. Really enjoyed the podcast and shared with my sisters. Question: how do you incorporate infrared sauna, around workouts and meals. I have a nurse at work all day, and I’m fortunate enough to have an infrared sauna at home. I usually wake up at 6 AM to do my work out before going to clinic.

I wonder if red light therapy would help with knee crepitus .. my knee sounds awful when exercising , but it doesn’t hurt .

I meditate, but don't do nothing. I read my Bible. I find it helps. I learn to trust The Lord more. I Love my Savior. I hope He knows it. I thank The Good LORD for my life. Everyday is a Blessing. I got a cold right now. But like He said, "This too shall pass." I want to always try & do what is good in His sight. He helps me. Praise The Lord & HalleluYah!
