As an Elderhead of several years' standing, my expectations were high. But this is awesome in a way unlike the several different ways Elder is 🤔 One does not possess genius, one is possessed by it -- apparently it has Nick DeSalvo in a firm headlock 😳
Ganz großes Kino! Love your work - for me it all started with 'dead roots stirring' and now I'm sitting here and cant stop listening to this gem. Keep it up!
Nick tu música es increíble, descubrí elder en 2020 y me voló la cabeza, ahora con esto me volviste a volar la cabeza. Eres un músico increíble. Saludos desde México. 🇲🇽
There is an 80's vibe to it as it crescendos through those verses after the 4:00 min mark. That is where some of the song-making in Stranger Things got that sound. My guess is that Nick has had those sounds in his brain for a long time, And unfortunately, I'm old enough to remember how the 80's sounded.... but the sound of this entire album is amazing. It would have blown everyone's mind if they would have heard it back then.
This was one of the coolest videos ive ever seen. Who shot the industrial cityscape stuff, editted it, and/or did the liquid light show with the kscope effects? Im getting mad inspiration from this.
Thanks! I shot the footage in and around Berlin. The real magic was done by Malachi Cull/Palantir Visuals. He edited and overlaid his liquid light work.
I think we are about due a more up-to-date film similar to: 1982 - Koyaanisqatsi - Life Out Of Balance If you dont know about that and Powaqqatsi they are worth a watch. Nick, your music would be a very fitting sound track. This is incredible stuff dude.
Really nice! Around 6:00 makes me think of Gosta Berlings Saga - Artefacts. Love that kind of music!
All of your music puts my mind in a special place.
holy mother of god THAT FREAKING BASS TONE O_O
my immediate thoughts, too! Wild guess: a Rick or a Precision into Ampeg or Hiwatt.
Just discovered this project with this specific song. I'm fascinated, I feel so motivated and curious.
This was excellent. Thank you for creating it.

Is it just me, or does the 4:04 mark has "Stranger Things" opening vibe?
Anyway, the whole album is awesome!
