Nice vid, but can I suggest, if you pan a little slower, it gives one a chance to actually see what you are showing us. BTW, we left the Isle of Wight for similar reasons . . . About 64 years ago. We’re now both in our late eighties. Next year I shall hit the big 90. We found the Island too restrictive at that time, limited job applications, high cost of living etc. Probably same situation exists today too. But then, different strokes for different folks. We moved to Canada where we have done very well in many ways. Raised a fine family, giving us 4 children, 9 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. All of whom are doing well with no immediate financial help from us . . . Well, not the great grandchildren yet, but they will do ok too when it is their turn to shine

Thank you. It was just a bit of editing fun a few years ago, but I might remake it and actually perhaps improve it. Nice to hear about life in Canada! Happy birthday. We were going to move to Vancouver or Dunedin (NZ) and still might. We gave up life in London - a very different perspective and culture. Yes, there are compromises on career, but it’s a question of life choices. I suppose it’s less about the place, as about the lifestyle. I love this island. It’s like what people describe of the past where we all know one another, people help each other out, and have a strong work ethic (always working on something outdoors!).
