Every time Amanda went with her jab she connected. She just was so much less technical than she usually is. I’m so damn proud of Juliana and I don’t even know her.
Now that is true, just take a look to Juliana's face. If she was really damaging why she gassed out, you get gassed when you miss most of your punches, even the power ones were getting in, she had got to be very poor trained to be finished like that , I mean against a Jualiana that is not that agressive. But she did great taking advantage of that , that is the point.
Thank you for the beautiful footage and the clarity was very impressive when I found out where you were shooting it from! How can I not subscribe after that!
Amanda was taking shots to the face for sure. Definitely drains you of energy. But, was it only me that noticed how JP was parrying AN punches with her forearm? She was sticking her left out blocking the heavy right hand. I think most people saw it as a jab. I saw it deflecting the right hand.
Swear Chael took too much from Julianna with his comments on Nunes being tired and quitting. It was mental not physical. Bruh, it was both. She's ran through these women and Pena took it too her, punched her in her face and it hurt, Nunes did check out because she didn't like what was on offer. I love Nunes attitude afterwards but come on, Juliana looked like a stone cold killer out there. She wins the rematch . We should understand now why uncle Dana didn't want Nunes V Shev 3.

Why are you all crying that its fake... clearly Nunez got out landed thinking her power would inevitably get her a W. Clearly she underestimated an opponent who could take her punishment....then tapped put like Conor in the end.
All these "everyone loses sometimes or has a bad day" comments.....it's not about that. It's about how she lost. Nunes quit (after taking just a minute or two of solid jabs). The moment someone was getting the best of her, she folded. There's no defending that, regardless of how bad of a day you're having
Amanda didn't even look like she trained for the fight. Gassed out quick. J should challenge her in the other Amanda's other weight class and take that belt to.
Nunez and her wife had a baby. This fight was supposed to happen around March, Nunez cancelled it citing she had covid. Then it was around September, Nunez cancelled it citing she had covid again. Pena thinks she lied the second time, that she didn't train all year (the baby) because that was what was told to her. She started talking crap on social media saying she was being ducked, twice, THEN Nunez supposedly started training, 3 months ago, after either having covid once or twice and not training all year like she's about to fight. ALL athletes discuss a loss of cardio that takes awhile to get back, energy, etc. Pena had trained, stayed active, and was ready to fight her since February. Nunez looked slow, was gassed after one round, Pena beat her down. It is all very clear. People saying it is fixed, you're just not paying attention or you're maybe dumb or, I'm not sure.
Juliana won on skill in standing and on the matt. It was a short fight. Amanda cannot change her skill level at this point. Juliana will always beat her.

Finally Amanda Nunes met her match. Julianna Pena jabs were more faster, stronger and accurate. Just like Ali and Mike Tyson knock outs. Nunes felt Julianna punches 👊✊. Nunes got stun of each of Pena hits.
She wasn’t tired, she was battered so much with those amazing jabs from Peña she couldn’t take it anymore. She knew if she stood up again Peña would’ve knocked her out so she gave up and tapped. Better to lose by submission than a KO. Amanda won’t recover from this one just like Cyborg will not
Amantap Nunez, everyone. Blew most of her wad in the first round trying to muscle through Pena's ground game. Spent a lot time doing a heavy curl with her right arm across Pena's face, then Pena level-changed and put Nunes's left arm under constant threat with a Kimura. Fighting the Kimura while cranking the right forced her to gun the engine for the rest of the round. Everything after that was a blind rush to finish the fight. Threw every power shot like it was a guaranteed closer, dumped her tank on whiffs instead. Turned herself into a noodle and was already done when Pena took her to the mat. The tap was just a formality, even Pena said it didn't feel like the RNC was tight enough to warrant it. Amanda saw the writing on the wall, and just said "fuck it, I'm out." No point in waiting for the crunch. It wasn't Covid. She assumed too little of her opponent in advance of the fight and too much of herself while in it. And it was also Julianna Pena. Methodical, patient, bold but never reckless, she went after Nunes. Pena earned her belt. But Amanda won't be reckless either come the rematch, and overly cautious doesn't fit her DNA. She'll show up hungry. Can't wait.
Amanda Nunez trying to explain why she lost : "I can't explain it, why I lost, my body was not responding" Amanda let me explain it to you what happened "She kicked your a$$, that is why ur body was not responding"
You can not argue that. But to me it looked like Amanda had lost her steam. (Effect of covid-19?) She had run out of gas. I am not taking anything away from Pena, but this was NOT the best version of Amanda in round 2. Round 1 was more like the way we know her.

As dominant Nunes has looked in prior fights and she beat the likes of Holm and Cyborg for example. I think she didn’t look fluid in this fight. If you look at a Muay Thai or kickboxing match you see fluid technical striking. This looked somewhat jerky.
Awkward looking fighters, uncoordinated punches, slow and plodding. I agree with your assessment " far from perfect" I would add "far from entertaining".
I love everyone saying this was rigged or its a fluke lmao. Nunes has too much pride to throw a fight and she is coming up with all sorts of excuses. Julianna won, get over it.
I mean seriously. Why would Nunes get hurt (potential concussion), lose her belt, end her win streak, lose her win bonus and tarnish her legacy by throwing this fight? Pena just had Nunes' number that night, a rematch will answer all questions as you can't have two off-nights in a row.
Amanda didnt respect Julianna’s striking, she exchange blows all the time. Look the diference when she fought someone Who she knows has a better striking than her like Valentina , she always moves back and only jab and kick from the distance.
He's a fighter, I'm a fighter, if I'm better on that day, I win. That's just the way it goes. Someday, every fighter loses. Sooner or later, somebody comes along and they got your ticket. Too old, just wasn't your day, whatever the reason is. In the end, everybody gets beaten. The most you can hope for is that you stay on top a while. Be the best.
What an awesome view! A whole different perspective. Amanda fans will watch this fight over and over and ask "How?! How did Julianna beat the Lioness?!" Julianna had great reaction timing and counter striking. Nunes wanted to prove no one could stand toe to toe with her, but she met her match in Julianna. Even the Greats will eventually fall when the right one comes along. The rematch should be very interesting. Many have called it a fluke.

@@Healthliving1967 I agree. Amanda used to overwhelm all her recent opponents, but Pena was to tough for that
This video was well worth the view. I half expected it to be click bait, glad I was proven wrong
Amanda’s felt that power and knew she was in trouble.
As dominant Nunes has looked in prior fights and she beat the likes of Holm and Cyborg for example. I think she didn’t look fluid in this fight. If you look at a Muay Thai or kickboxing match you see fluid technical striking. This looked somewhat jerky.
No footwork, no head movement, no hooks when controlling the back, floppy takedown... pretty far from perfect
Awkward looking fighters, uncoordinated punches, slow and plodding. I agree with your assessment " far from perfect" I would add "far from entertaining".
THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS.
Amanda tapped IMMEDIATELY. Pena hadn't even gotten the hooks in yet to put torque on the choke. Talk about no heart. She just wanted out of there.
Nunes skills look like a rookie in this fight. Very weird
She just had Covid before the fight
Overconfident
@@blurshinx2962 she actually had a issue with her partner which is what cause this. Because she's weak minded.
Thanks for the upload and yeah great fight! Deserving Winner! 😉👍 Can't wait for the rematch!!!
@@madgavin7568 exactly what I was thinking
@@hunterhudak947 It had to be said.
It was so good to see Nunes lose.
Nunez didn't respect Pena and thus her ass tapped out! Nunez didn't want anymore of that jab!!!
Now all those cringe interviews where Pena was saying she's "the one to beat Nunes" ...they look pretty good now 😉
Amanda didnt respect Julianna’s striking, she exchange blows all the time.
I really am awaiting on your comment what you are going to say about Khabib and Mayweather. Both 0 losses.
@@kenanfansa9753 only mayweather. khabib did retire during his prime, so not the same. mayweather fought for decades
@@ravenoushydra7948 my point is that these guys has 0 losses.
That was a helluva quick tap..Nunez soft when stood up to
Amanda have been training head movement with Ronda
Is that why she took to many shots?
