Rack for Slide-out Deck Build: Part One

So I have wanted to add a slide-out deck to my step van-to-camper conversion for awhile now, and I finally found the perfect method to build it. On top of that, I am using parts I already had AND a rolling cart that was being scrapped by my local grocery store! So, the entire project is basically FREE so far!
