Hello, how is the egg production of your ducks this year? Did you get eggs from your green teal ducks? I don't get eggs this year is the second year, I can't understand why.
I had a lot of infertile Wood duck eggs, more than half of them. So I have 9 from 1 hatch and 2 eggs being sat now. The Cinnamons are the best as usual, 1 hatch of 9 another of 6 another 6 in the incubator and another one sitting now. Green wings are early still, 6 eggs under the Cinnamon another one sitting I think 9 eggs, another one sitting I think 10 eggs, and another one sitting I don't know how many. However, the Green wings usually hatch about half s will see in about 2 to 3 weeks.
The little wire mesh is for when they are young to help get out, it doesn't seem to make a difference as they get older. I have had birds drown that couldn't get out.
@@duckdays9451 try to make it a centimeter away from the top. or try to make the pond more flat on the sides like round flat on the sides to help them get out.
I’d be excited to see them all feathered out!
I kind of am but I need to wait until fall of 2024 because Hooded drakes don't get their colors until the second season.
Same!
They are gonna look wild that is for sure.

now you have wood mergansers. you should probally remove the netting for them cause they have to learn how to dive.

@duckdays9451 if the water is high you should teach them how to get out perfectly.
@@scottmoffatt6065 I've had birds drown at 3 weeks old with the water a half inch from the top.
