The Ultra Magnus thing. As a Transformers fan, that was amazing. Shame he never actually got a chance to shine, he is, in cannon, only rivaled in strength by Optimus him self.
The 4 could probably take a brass breech, and could be an actually worthy sidearm. I’d guess it would hit 140-160 FPS or even more with more modification.

I have an Ultra 5 in pieces I don't really want to bother putting back together; trying to integrate a 10 round mag and mod to fire elite. That spring looked really good for some reason and now I know it's power. Thank you, sir. I shall see to it that it gets a new life in a better home.
Those stock performance figures were surprising to us all, I think! The '4' definitely needs some more love with rebarrelling and the spring of the '5' as you said. Interesting stuff to be sure.

It amuses me that the 'upgraded' Ultra 5 got the captain a bit kerfluffled 😁. If you could get a rebarrel on it for regular half darts, it looks like there could be enough room to hollow out it's internal magwell for a SPAMF type kit, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

Captain Xavier I love hand guards myself, especially the cycloneshock’s. That one just seems.. terribly wonky. Though I’m sure hasbro wouldn’t have designed it if didn’t fit in someone’s hands.
They made .50 whistlers. But the heads were larger so they will not fit in the magazines. I would love to see someone develop a mag compatible whistler!
Remember when you tried it with the Atlas? It's stock spring was almost identical to K26, and the K26 didn't change the performance at all. Maybe just for the fun of it, put the 4's spring in the Atlas to see what the Atlas does with increased fps? Since putting in K26 didn't do anything, now that you know that the 4 has a spring that's heavier than K26, you can finally give the Atlas it's long overdue performance increase!
Actually the Atlas does like k26 but you have to use 23 or 24 coils. He shorted it on that vid...even my 23 coil spring is still easy to prime. I read in the comments that xavier felt like he could've gone 25 coils. Way more consistent. The Atlas, my favorite and most impressive nerf gun. In the airgun world we call it droop not spread...but if you power it up and vary the ammo light heavy light heavy - then you'll have spread. I use headshot followed by little valentine.
Now I am going to go bury my head in the sand and pretend I never read that 😩. The villianator is awesome, I recommend you pick one up soon. I am going to test mine for k26 though, and if it can take it, I will post the results here.
I really wish they'd make Elite sonics. I recently got 175 original sonic darts as a bonus on another purchase and I'm thrilled because I still have plenty of stuff they can go into, including a Quick 16 and Speedload 6. But I do need to figure out a good power upgrade for them. Maybe one day just bite the bullet on getting custom springs made for some older blasters.

Yes, of course you could. It has already been done to the Magnus, the Han Solo Blaster, the Kronos, and the Takedown. Anything that has an internal mag can be adapted to take external mags.

Nope. Not possible. Can't be done. Sure, I've done it to many other blasters, and sure we have space ships and self-drivibg cars, but doing it to an Ultra 4 is simply beyond the skills of man! ;p

Also, my biggest takeaway is if ultra didn’t fire ultra darts or if they could fire normal darts, these would’ve been great blasters

Was thinking along the same lines, maybe Ezekiel could come up with a nice kit.

The 5 would be very difficult. Elite darts are longer than Ultra so you would have to extend the entire mag area.

I have the ultra 4, and the darts are really stable. And because of the tight and packed up barrel, the darts shoots almost lazer beams.

due to air restrictors in some ultra 5 looks loss velocity, should be can remove air restrictor and more seal it then add more grease

I cut the handguard off of my ultra 5 and sanded the sharp edges on the grip and it’s way better to hold and fire now👍

No, the bolt does not open enough to chamber elites. People are working on half dart kits though.

I think it would be less an issue of "jank" and more an issue of dead space.
The Ultra blasters are almost the exact opposite of Elite 2.0, the internals are so overbuilt in comparison it's actually really impressive
