  • So this is not the most physically demanding combo; it's going to be more mental. If you remember, the internal seated straddle roll typically rotates 360°, yet your pelvis pretty much stays in the exact same location. Imagine being in a little timeout circle that you cannot leave.
    We have the bottom leg initiation that goes underneath and back. In the beginning, you're just doing a 90° turn, whether you're starting by threading the leg underneath or the reverse of coming back up from your parallel side body position/cobra shape.
    Once you can do this a few times, combine it with the internal seated straddle roll to the straight leg roll out. When you roll out, continue working with your rotation so that you don't stop with your pelvis flat to the floor. Instead, transition and roll straight to the opposite hip so that you can thread that new leg underneath and come back up. It should have a really nice rolling type of flow.
