@@sallyolivia37 You know a physiotherapist is different from a chiropractor right?
Physiotherapists actually learn medical science. Chiropractors don't even need a first aid certificate.
Fun fact: Chiropractic was invented when DD Palmer saw a ghost tell him that magical "Innate Intelligence" would heal the body as long as the spine is properly aligned, and it only got less scientific from there.

I go to a neurologist and he is a chiropractor on top of that. I have a stress point on back next to my right lat and it pulls a vertabrae away from the rest of my spine. He looked at it, relaxed the muscle and cracked . The relief was just... heavenly. Chiropractors are magicians

From the age of 10, I saw the same chiropractor for almost 10 years. I went 3 days a week for 10 years, never getting better, even coming to fear each moment before he cracked me. In my early 20s, my brother built the office of a young chiropractiic couple and he said you should try them, they are really nice, maybe they can fix you. I suffered with back pain since at least age 8, my first record of complaints to my family doctor. It was crippling. After 6 months, the man says, something isn't right, i'm going to send you for some tests. I had been to see so many specialists over the years, so I didn't think he would find the problem. Anyway, when I went in for the results I was floored. He said that the reason he sent me for these tests was because, nobody should be seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week for 10 years and not get better. In addition, he thought it puzzling as to why, when he was seing me 3 times a week, my spine didn't hold it's positions after an adjustment. Like I could come back the next day and it was as if nothing had been done the previous day. He found out that my ligaments and muscles were so stretched out from the years of adjustments, that they had lost it's elasticity. Basically he said it's like a rubber band, at first it's nice and tight. But when you stretch it continuously at some point the elastic doesn't go back to it's original size, it remains all stretched out. So in the case of my back, the 10 years of adjustments, 3 times a week, caused my ligaments to be stretched out so badly, that they are not doing their job and holding my spine in line. No matter how many years,, that he would continue to adjustment me, the problem wouldn't get any better, if anything it could get worse. He could not, out of good conscious, continue to adjust and take money for further damaging my spine. So my treatments stopped that very day. You know I got put on muscle relaxants, 3 times a day from age 12-36. The pain i've lived with because of my back, since i was a kid, isn't measurable. But nothing could have prepared me for the pain since age 36. At 36 yrs of age, i had injured my back and was unable to walk for months. My physiotherapist, based on my CT report I should have been making some progress. Little did we know that the doctor who wrote my CT report got it mixed up with another person's CT results. Not knowing this, my physiotherapist recommended trying traction. On the very first traction, an ambulance was called, my discs in my lower back had shattered. But when I got to the ER, I kept getting morphine but no doctor took the time to physically examen me. About 20 hours later, someone came to talk to me and my mother to tell me that I would have to go to a nursing home. I was so mad. I said "hell no, not 1 doctor has come to physically examen me, i haven't gone to the bathroom since i got here and i can't physically move 1/4 inch without excruciating pain,. I'm not leaving this hospital until i see a spine specialist." One of the best surgeons happened to be going on vacation but heard of a 36 yr old in the ER, so he decided to take a look before going out the door. He took a few minutes to read my chart and then started yelling and cursing at the ER doctors. He said "you/ve given her enough morphine to kill a small horse and you don't think she should be put through an MRI?" He turned to me lifted up the bars to my bed and said you are my patient now. He wheeled me down and straight into an MRI machine. When I came out he said you have a few problems. Your MRI no where near matches your CT report. I don't know who that CT belongs to but it isn't you. You have 60 minutes to get your loved ones to the hospital but then you will be on my operating table. I have to tell you now, there is an 80% chance you will be paralyzed from the waist down, as soon as i turn you over to operate. Little did he know but i got a Staph Aureus MRSA infection on that first surgery. They fought to save my life with 3 more surgeries. Each time having to remove more muscle, and soft tissue, add to this the overstretched ligaments, gives you a recipe for disaster. I survived, I have to be very careful, one bad turn and i will paralyse from the waist down. I'm bed ridden 95% of the time and my pain goes from a 5-6 to a 10 within seconds. I have no discs between my vertebrae in my lower back and the spine was never fused. I have no muscles or ligaments helping to hold these vertebreas in line. Every movement, my discs is hitting another, no cushion, and often my vertebraes lock in an unnatural position. This brings my pain level to a 10 and unable to turn over in bed without help and added pain. I have been fortunate to still have the use of my legs, when i can get up, after 17 yrs but each day is a struggle. I do have the best kids in the world and have been there to help in every way. The only chiropractor I had prior to the one who helped me, was extremely rough with me. Enough that every time I went to see the new one I use to think, how is it possible for him to do the adjustment with so little force? You seem like a great doctor. Can you tell me, how often do you see your patients and over how many years? What i'm trying to figure out, is when should i have stopped going to see my first chiropractor? I do believe in what you do greatly, but I think my first chiropractor wasn't good at his job. I do know the benefit of getting adjusted, only in my case my adjustments never held.

@@tilstrim2944 you know we are talking about growing up in the 70s and 80s. People trusted doctors back then, they had the degree and it was far from the career they had. They became self made millionaires so they are far from dumb, dad worked 7 days a week and my mom is the one who brought me to countless specialists over the years, all swearing by the chiropractor to help. Still today, in my physical prognosis, she is still trying to find the 1 specialist who can at least improve my quality of life. But after almost 50 years, constantly discouraged by specialists who can't help, I'm just so tired of seeing a new doctor and we are afraid of getting bad advice again. They may have been trusting and naive regarding giro practices but far from dumb. I do understand your point for sure but they did what they were told was best for me at that time.

Hi Eric, thanks for the kind words, so glad you liked the video. The top bone on the spine is called Atlas (also known as C1), above that is the base of the skull (the base is called Occiput), so the move you are referring to, is most often called an "Occiput Lift" or a "Occipital Lift", I have heard of nick names like "God's Hug", too. I hope this helps. Did you have a specific time stamp on the video that you liked the best? (ie... 5:32 or... )

I don't think I've heard a lower back light up the way hers did unless you use that y strap... that was my favorite..... I notice a lot of dancers go to you... they seem very fit, full of life and of course beautiful. However with all the movement they do sure need you to keep limber. If you've had a L5-SI fusion, should this be avoided? I really need my neck done something fierce! My fusion was lower back though, should I be alright to go?
