  • Moving clockwise around the car, but not very fast :) The metalwork is still fun. I wonder how long before it gets annoying LOL

    Greulingly tedious work -- but done for the best of reasons. Patching over rust is THE stupidest thing to do, but probably happens often. The way you explain the reasons why you approach the problem is fantastic. Great job!

    At about eighteen minutes I almost bailed out and sold out. Is this what I have to look forward to? Lol. Awesome job and even more impressive is your patience. Keep the camera rolling. I am enjoying this series.

    That car reminds me so much of mine..it’s amazing how the same areas rusted out and were braised over with metal scabs to repair it. You are right, it takes a lot of time to undo the old repairs. Sometimes, it takes a little while to figure out how it all goes back together!

      Same repair shop I guess :) This car has been raced too so I wouldn't be surprised btw!

    Looking at your car gives me new appreciation for my car being from Georgia. Much less rust. Also Thanks again for showing the fabrication process. It gives me new incentive to work on my car.

    Very weld done my brother E. Your pressing technique is brilliant! After building two of these TR6 are you going to end up with one for you? I sure hope so.

    Maybe next time you want to make an indentations make the template and form out of plate metal to create sharper edges and just use the wood as filler as it won't compress? Not sure if it would work just an idea.

    When the inner whole inner fender stamps are available, why would try a patch?

      For the same reason I don't check the correct answers at the back of the newspaper when I solve a crosswords puzzle :}
      Seriously, it is much more labor and money for the new part than fixing the rotten areas on this one. They are not that much.

    Hey friend....use your safety glasses! them hydraulics can hurt you! and dont get mad about crappy repairs...if they did the repairs correctly you never would have gotten then cars! Instead of rusty beauties...your channel would be called driving classic cars that are in perfect shape

      You're right :) I just don't like seeing these beauties treated like this. You are right about the glasses too. I use them most of the times, but sometimes I forget. My bad :)

      Gerard Jones it would be a waste of time if it wasn’t entertaining. Any hobby is a waste of time for someone who is not interested while it is a great fun and relax for others. I appreciate your opinion but obviously we are looking at this from a different prospective.
