    Often people who make video essays about BG&E have a good taste, it was no different here :)
    Thank you so much for this video, having someone who also enjoyed my favourite game of all time is always pleasant to watch.
    The soundtrack is the biggest highlight of this game for me, Christopher Hearl made an outstanding work combining many genres into one atmospheric piece - I love it, and listen to it to this day!
    Jade is one of my favourites female heroines, she does not have to have male aspects to make her strong or witty.
    Being a 20-something young adult I am still waiting for a proper sequel just to make my inner child happy… there will be a day, I am sure of it!

      I struggle with the vernacular required to describe music. I tend to leave my thoughts brief when I talk about music for that reason. Having said that, this game had a very specific tone that was set by its music and it was indeed very memorable. I'm glad you found something to enjoy.

      Jade may very well be my favorite female protagonist ever. She could be a real icon if BG&E was ever adapted into an awesome movie.

    I am from Cyprus and I remember watching the governor of Hillys for the first time, as a child playing this game. It didn't seem weird to me. Neither does it seems weird now, 15 years after. She's a human, so why not?

      The only difference that matters is if a human is good-willed or if he/she is not good-willed.
      If we have good will, the rest will find their way.
      If you allow me, where are you from?

    • @shepergames3734
      @shepergames3734  Месяц назад +1

      @Stellarionas I'm from Los Angeles. The united states have a particularly complicated history when it comes to race relations. The reason why I mentioned the diversity of the characters in this video is because there is a brewing community of gamers who are prone to outrage over forced diversity in modern games. Beyond good and evil is an example of good diversity. It has characters of all races and species and the game is better for it. All these cultures give the world of hillis a very distinct character.

    huh, that's weird. I also played the GoG version and I haven't had any problems aside from some rare texture flickering, mainly effects overlapping the dialogue boxes.
    none of the stuff you mentioned, even though I also played on an NVidia card.

      The ever complex problem of "works on my pc." For real though, there are a lot of threads on it. The most common fixes broke the game a lot worse for me. so i played it with the glitched textures because that was far superior to running too fast or too slow. In the end it didn't bother me as a gamer. It bothered me as some one making a video on the game.

      @xmaa9x I should have left in the footage with high shadows and anti aliasing. The shit was wild lol. Once I got it running though I was very charmed by the game and I am glad I took a shot at something outside of my traditional wheelhouse.

      There are other people that were able to play the gog version on pc with no issues. Sometimes you just get unlucky with a driver or a particular hardware configuration and I think that was my case. I'm sure the emulated GameCube or Xbox version would be fine.
