I'm new in making lures. Could you please advise how to make a subsurface stickbait wiggle . I made few but the action is nt much wiggle . I would like to make GT stickbaits but having problem with weight placement. Any advise will be very much appreciated . Thank you . Fel
Thanks for watching! The basic rule with stickbaits is that if you can not make them wiggle while retrieving them, you have to make the lure slightly LESS stable. This means placing the weight further into the body rather than just in the belly/bottom side. You can also make the lure more curved rather than straight so it has a natural tendency to spin (which will be prevented by the weight in the lure). My "How to balance a stickbait" video is on floating stickbaits but the same principles can be applied on sinking stickbaits. Just make sure that a sinking stickbait has equal weight distribution throughout the body so that the lure sinks horizontally. Hope that helps, let me know how you go!
Another perfect lure! Grats! I'm trying to make a 5cm jerkbait but I would like to have a nice wide action like the one you showed here! And you didn't even have a bill in the lure hahahaha If you make a slash bait, but with a wide action when retrieved, where would you put the weight? I'm working with balsa
Make sure you have a wide enough bill to make sure the jerkbait has a wide wobble. I would put some weight in the head and some in the belly so that it is well balanced. Let me know how you go! It will be a bit tough to make a 5cm version of it because everything will be very small but I'm sure you can do it.
hey mate, thanks for watching. I left it out in this video since it is in most of my earlier lure building videos. I just use either a handsaw or drill the hole with a dremel. Hope that helps.
Nice video man
Thanks Christopher! Glad you like it!

what do you use to turn your lure when the epoxy dries???
It's a disco ball motor. I have a video on how I built the lure dryer
Just curious as to how you make me the internal wiring and sinker carving. Could i heat up the led and wiring and burn holes inti the wood?
I legitimately just cut a slot in there with a box cutter. The holes are made with a drill.
The Angling Globetrotters okay thanks. Is there a spevial glue or paste u like closing the holes up eith or just superglue and sawfust

How much would that stick bait cost?
If it is custom made and tailored to the anglers wishes; probably around $80.
@@TheAnglingGlobetrotters excellent work
Oi. You should have shown us how to cut the belly slit.
