    I’m so glad I came across your videos. I usually check out Andy’s Dinosaur Reviews, DinosDragons or killershrew and a handful of others but I can really appreciate that there is a woman having as much fun as I do unboxing a new “treasure”. You’re enthusiastic review and obvious personal love of the hobby are very refreshing.
    You deserve a bigger following in the Dino collecting community.
    I’ll be sure to mention your site when I’m cruising around the others.
    That said, haven’t received my Rebor Diplodocus but hopefully soon.
    It looks really awesome and I like the 1/35 size.
    DinosDragons has a good review that he splits between figure review followed by a little Dino science afterward.
    His reviews are greatly in depth and very informative.
    Yours are fun and I like seeing a live person interacting with the figure giving a much better perspective rather than disembodied hands rearranging a figure.
    Not that that detracts from the other reviewers.
    If there weren’t some reasonable quality, I wouldn’t stick with them.
    Like I said, yours are fun.

      Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate that feedback 😊 DinosDragons are my favourite too, he's amazing, so knowledgeable! I also adore Dino Scream Reviews and watch Andy's too! I don't get to watch any of them as much as they deserve, and there are some others who have started quite recently who I wish I could support more, "Spinosaurus Reviews" and also "Keep Calm And Love Dinosaurs" 😊 Both are far more knowledgeable than I am! I also have to be very selective in what I collect, and my knowledge is lacking these days compared to what it once was. I am becoming something of a dinosaur myself! 😆 However, if I can spread a little dino joy to others, even if it's only occasionally, then I'm more than happy to do so! Thank you again 😊🦖🦕🐈‍⬛

    I really can appreciate the size of the specimen when you present them directly in front of you!, that tail is really something I like how they've given dippy a crude beak and a throat pouch. I always depict my sauropods with such features in my works.

      The keratinous covering on the muzzle is a really nice touch, it looks as though they have done some research and put some thought into their choices for this sculpt, choices which really bring it to life! 😻 Minor niggles aside I'm absolutely over the moon with it. The neck seam has also corrected itself and now fits flush to the body. I'm very impressed with what Rebor have achieved here! 😻🦕

      It is gigantic, and heavy with it! 🤯 The bendy neck and tail do help greatly, though. I've currently got mine on top of my display cabinet next to my Papo Brachiosaurus, it's similar in bulk to that figure but much, much longer. But if space is an issue the Eofauna figure is certainly a worthy alternative, it's still one of my favourite sauropod figures! 😊 Very neat and graceful 🦕

    That certainly is an impressive beast! I've always had a soft spot for Diplodocus because my local museum is the Carnegie, which of course has Dippy as its mascot.
    I do have a question, do you have any idea of what the scale is with it? I'm interested in more scientifically accurate dinosaurs to go with my Beasts of the Mesoxoic 1/35 scale Tyrannosaurus.

    • @aeonfire82
      @aeonfire82  Год назад +1

      I am hopeless at scales sorry, but it's possibly a bit too large to go with the BOTM rex! I don't think it's a 1:35, though Rebor seem to try to aim for that their figures are a little large...maybe they're around 1:30-32? 🤔 That's just a rough guess on my part, though! The last Rebor rex scales well with it, but that figure is larger than its BOTM counterpart. I'm sorry I can't be more help! 🦖

      Thank you for watching! 😻 Yeah this is an awesome Diplodocus, my favourite since the Invicta I had in my childhood 😊 The paintwork is very subtle, but up close it's got a lovely satin sheen to it that kind of reflects the light and brightens it all up. I've not seen a dinosaur figure with a sheen quite like this before, it's unique and very effective! 🦕

    Enjoyed your review. I have a question about the color of Catch the Rainbow----is it green or brown?
    In the PR photos and some of the RUclips videos, it looks brown, but in other videos, it looks green. Hopefully, you can answer the color question since you have Catch the Rainbow.

    • @aeonfire82
      @aeonfire82  8 месяцев назад

      I suspect there might be a little variation in these figures, but overall, mine is brown tones. There is a slight discrepancy in these tones between the main body and the neck and tail. The paint or the overcoat they've used on all parts has an unusual satin sheen to it, which picks up background colours a little and is both slightly reflective, and very effective at giving this figure an extra depth to its tones. But I'd definitely say it's more brown overall! I hope this helps, and thank you for watching 😊🦕

    8:29 Love the model but does the tail comes without the black wash that rest of it's body has? Or is it just the camera?

    • @aeonfire82
      @aeonfire82  Год назад +1

      Hello, and thank you for watching! 😊 There is a black wash on both the tail and the neck, however you are right, it's not quite as deep as it is across the body. The brown tones aren't quite as rich on the neck or tail either, and this does mean that there is a slight but noticeable discrepancy between the sections as a consequence, just as there is between the tail and body of the Kiss figure. It's not particularly jarring and doesn't really detract from the figure overall! It's less noticeable at a distance, as are the seams, which lock together nicely once in place because of the gaskets Rebor have engineered. It may be possible to apply a thin black oil wash to enhance the effect without detracting from the satin finish applied in the factory, but personally I'm in no hurry to do this! I hope this helps 😊🦕

    • @aeonfire82
      @aeonfire82  Год назад +1

      Maybe it's just mine 😆 In honesty it's really not that noticeable and is probably down to them all being hand-finished. There are bound to be minor variations! I'm going to try to start up an IG account purely for photographs of my dinosaur figures, just so that people can have a better look at them if they wish. Being able to study photographs might give a better overall impression of my models and help people to make up their minds 🤔😊🦕
