Similar to how watching Amnesia was like watching a classic movie, watching this felt like reading the book the classic movie was based on. You can really tell what they learned from this game and how it carried over to Amnesia. Thanks for the stream, Fauna! I enjoy streams like this that can tickle my game critique brain (and be hilarious while doing it)

The combat in this game is so scuffed in the best way possible, FaunaSweep The physics puzzles were really cool, can't wait to see the rest of this game :_cozy:
Today on the stream, Fauna sings all sorts of classics while, uh, petting puppers that are clearly fainting and failing to fight against spiders, boulders, and poisonous pits while dealing with the ramblings of a quirky man, perhaps the legendary Spiders Georg himself maybe? And so much broom love.
It's interesting comparing this game to Amnesia, and it's definitely a lot less refined than it, but I can definitely see how it was kinda the baseline for those games.
But besides that, thanks you for streaming as always I can't wait for you to finish this game next time! Still incredibly glad that you managed to get used to us saplings, even if sometimes we, erm, some of us can cry a bit. And I'm glad you're a lot more comfortable with streaming now than ever. So much so that we may have convinced you to buy a theremin apparently.

I love the fact this stream turned from being a horror game to KIRIN SWEEP on top of boxes. I totally want the theremin stream to happen, 3D kirin can't come soon enough man.
The dog fights were similar to the my first experience with Black Plague. I got stuck in a part with an enemy and after five minutes of being chased the fear was just gone for the rest of the game
I watched a little bit of the theremin too, and woah the gestures are intense Now have fun snuggling Snail. Make him love you
Thanks for the cosy, entertaining and intense stream, Fauna! This game has deep sentimental values for me and I'm sure for a lot of us watching as well. It takes me back to my pre teen days of playing it on my slow(ish) PC and watching other RUclipsrs play it. It's so nostalgic to watch you play it like it was watching you play Bioshock. Weirdly, I solved that machine room in no time but I am embarrassed to admit that I was stuck in that cave for almost half an hour lol. I just couldn't get the damn ladder to fit in that opening so I tried to get up it through just boxes instead like a right numpty, but she smashed through that section in no time. 💪
Here's hoping she enjoys the game enough to play through the end, and to play the (at least in my opinion) much better sequel. The atmosphere in that one has some serious liminal space vibes that I'm a big fan of.
Soma is very underrated! Whilst it still would be nice to have you do a playthrough of that game, It's not surprising that it may not happen as you've already played it and the magic of playing through it again will never top the first time round. A lot of people I know think it's not good so it's nice to hear great things about it from Fauna.
I think this holds up well considering the age (2007 was 40 years ago ) Surprised I never heard of it back when it came out. Those wolf fights were literally Skyrim, I even filled in the silence with the battle BGM in my head.

Fauna and Horror games are a combination that you can't miss, these streams always have a ton of fun moments! I'm a big fan of when Fauna features older or lesser known games, exposing their greatness to the masses! Games need to stop giving this kirin bludgeon weapons like hammers, pickaxes, brooms and wrenches... she's far too dangerous with them, truly a woman of violence! And from how excited Fauna was about Chainsaw Man, it sounds like I really gotta read it sometime! Lastly... TWO Sasuke figures!?

Half-Life 2 was one of the first games who introduced and popularized physics in gameplay, puzzle solving and fighting. Tho it is mostly a shooter game, I strongly recommend to play it. Shooting is not that hard in this game and it's really entertaining even on this day.
