I knew you’d love it! Trifonie dei mongoli refers to a very peculiar Mongolian poliphonic technique : the simultaneous emission of three harmonic sounds. Giuni russo Made a lot of research on the use of the voice in different parts of the world, including japan, as you can clearly hear in this song
The song refers itself to the well known aria UNA VOCE POCO FA from Rossini's IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA. The aria, a supervirtuoso one, is taken as an inspiration to show off Giuni Russo's uncommon vocal possibilities (the Rossini's aria says : "Ma se mi toccano dov'è il mio debole sarò una vipera sarò"). The whole text of the song is a list of her Virtuoso possibilities: singing like the Rosina of Rossini, singing like Mongolian priests, whose voices display a rare average of possibilities, arriving to hold two or three sounds at the same time (the" Trifonie dei Mongoli") and so on. It remembers me an other (old) Italian song of the most celebrated Italian female singer: Mina. In "Brava", Mina shows off all of her vocal possibilities, in an ironical text which basically says that for her voice nothing is impossible. It is, more or less, the same meaning of Russo's song that is displayed here
vocalmente vi competono anna goodbye di anna oxa e elettroshock dei matia bazar, fuori italia yma sumac lene lovich nina hagen george brown. canzoni apocalittiche per i vocalismi che però rendono poco omaggio al vero talento di queste cantanti
The whole phrase "Se mi toccano dov'è il mio punto debole, sarò una vipera" is actually a quote from the Italian opera "Il barbiere di Siviglia" by Rossini.
she wanted to move on with her career at some points, as she wanted to grow as a singer. But the label wanted her to produce pop songs with probable hidden vibe-inducing things to the masses. As you can imagine, her talent and interest were something else. The "lady" of her label got extremely mad because she did not want her to have a career ever again. This often happens in every business all over the world. Talents crushed because they did not want people to fit in some sort of agenda. She had to leave for Jerusalem and then came back. This happens more often than you would imagine: artists saying "stop" to labels and then experiencing brutalities. The list goes on and on. And us listeners just hear about it and do not react. The issue is that it does not only happen to singers, but with everybody that has to deal with "big businesses", which ironically, are made of living and breathing human beings just like you and me - and I say "human" in the broader sense - as humanity is not part of that. I never realize how something intangible like a brand can make people do shit. Last names last longer than brands, and "brands" do not even exist if you think about it. #raiseawareness . R.I.P. Giuni Russo.
Il brano del 1981 e' sempre attuale!!! Giuni e' eterna!!!!!!!!! Grazie per averla fatta ascoltare!!!!

A viper, that's what I'll be... (it means that I will turn very angry in my reaction to a situation...)
Grazie per questi video.Giuni Russo ha cantato pezzi di Franco Battiato...molto bella è anche "un'estate al mare '.

Giuni Russo has collaborated as in this case with the great Franco Battiato known for his hermeticism in his works.
Thanks for reaction !!
“Vipera” is used as a metaphor for a bad, mean, poisonous person
The whole phrase "Se mi toccano dov'è il mio punto debole, sarò una vipera" is actually a quote from the Italian opera "Il barbiere di Siviglia" by Rossini.
The Vipera is a poisonous snake, common in italy
Giuni Russo vocally very gifted, in this ironic song, engages in incredible octave jumps using his voice skillfully as an instrument
Please react to CRISI METROPOLITANA
What a phenomenal voice!
I suggest you "Crisi metropolitana" as well. Her voice at her best:)
Can you react to "Morirò d'amore" always by Giuni Russo? This is a beautiful version ruclips.net/video/X2tyLlPKgms/видео.html
