  • Hello again in this video I talk about Here in the Dominican Republic fresh produce is abundant and the choice can be endless. I've found produce that I have no idea what it is. But what it does for me is peak my interest as to what it is and what is called and how can I cook it and if I can incorporate it into my diet.
In this video I made the simple claim that the meal was prepared with almost no money so I will break it down for you:
    Fish + cleaning = 450 DOP
    Assorted vegetables = 100DOP
Rice = I keep rice at home at all times 0 DOP
Coconut = A gift from Mother Nature 0 DOP
I shared a recipe for barbequed fish and curry coconut rice. I think it is pretty straight forward and easy to follow, but if you have questions, you are more than welcome to contact me at any time.

Well as I’m sure you know fish doesn’t take long to cook. But you can press on the fish and if it springs back it’s not done.

What kind of fish is it? Looks sort of like the red hind we eat in Grenada. Usually in fish broth!

Yes ii is a Caribbean red fish, we also ate a lot of it in Martinique. It is a mild, tender white fish. Very tasty.
