    If you were to pick JUST ONE plant in this video; which one would you pick? #1ComptonCarousel, #2CubicFrostVariegated, #3MonroeVariegated, #4Tinkerbell or #5PVNSilkVariegate?

    That’s so interesting that plants communicate with each other. I usually do put them together because they just look better and fill the pot better but now I have a new reason.

    I also saw something about how plants communicate with each other. It was about trees actually and it said how the root systems communicate. If there is t enough nutrients in the soil the weaker trees will sacrifice themselves so the stronger trees can survive. Interesting stuff. Id love to watch that again but I don’t remember where I saw it. It was years ago. So cool though

      2 years ago it was $450, now it's only $150. By next year I'm guessing it would be down to $50 and you might even get a big plant with roots. Plus by then, you'll know (hopefully) how to keep it alive. Thanks for watching.

      I just replied below to a similar comment to yours. So I hope it's okay to copy and paste.
      Granite is a natural material and they vary in mineral composition from different parts of the world. The decomposed granite I use is different to the any decomposed granite from other parts of the world. So it's fair to say that they will have different names. Maifan stone is the closest alternative available in the market, to the decomposed granite I use.
      Also, as what James Reyes commented below, Garden Landscape Suppliers will have them for use in driveways but most of them are Crushed Granite and not Decomposed granite.
      Below is a video link on how to deal with crushed granite. Cheers

      Sorry can't help you with that Shirley. I don't have the plant and also I haven't use Akadama yet. The MASTER Succulent Soil Mix I use is my own soil mixture. Link on how to make it is below this video in the description box. Thanks for watching.

    Hey Liz, just as you mentioned, so Maifan Stone is the same as Decomposed Granite?! That’s sooo good to know as I can access to Maifan but not Decomposed Granite. Can I use Maifan instead of DG in all your soil mixes? I am currently making your master soil mix using crushed granite. There is a lot of work involved and killing my back. :( Thanks again and appreciate your informative videos. Have an awesome weekend!

      Granite varies from different parts of the world. Maifan stone I believe comes from China and the mineral composition will vary from the one I get from my area but essentially, they are both decomposed granite.

    Hi Liz. After soaking the roots, do you plant them with wet roots, or let them sit out to dry? I’d choose the Compton carousel 🎠

    I’ve killed a bazillion of compton carousel but mainly because they get shock when I buy online and most of the time they arrive rotten already especially if they’re not very mature. They’re also very hard to propagate. Even the cuttings. I noticed that when I just laid the heads in coir and ignore they grow well and when I buried they stem a lot of them rotted. I’ve tried to propagate well over 50 leaves and they just didn’t strike. I’m still trying again. I’ve never killed anything else besides that lol.

    • @MsLadaniela
      @MsLadaniela 3 года назад

      Also they burn so easily here in the desert. I placed in morning sun and leaf edge burned lol
