Where does Expeditionary Force rank for you?
Nr. 1
Top in its group of modern Space opera -- with humour -- series.
EE Doc Smith, Anne McCaf, Frank H, Terry P all have more legs for me.
RC Bray brings the the audiobooks to life. The audio drama is worth listening too.
Great twist at the end and indicates a 2nd era could follow.
I also enjoyed Craig's Ascendant Series as well.
I definitely think we're going into a second era or at least one more trilogy
This is the only channel I know that covers the books I like! Keep it up king!
Thanks for the support! I have a patreon for as little as $3 you can pick at least one book I read every month but feel free to suggest anything in the comments and maybe I can get to it. Exforce for life.
Skippy and Joe are too perfect a pair to be pruned from the sacred timeline.
I love this series so much I listened to it for the first time only 2 months ago and finished just in time for this book. I’m so glad he decided to continue the series. I definitely felt like it wasn’t a true ending as so many things had gone unanswered that it felt like he was hinting would be important.
Wow you flew through it!
Yeah it took us years and alot many happy evening sat around the fireplace.
Favorite sci fi series of all time. I was not enthralled by the end of Match Game, even though it was satisfying:, I wanted more. I am glad to be having another crisis for Joe and Skippy and the MBOP to solve.
I am also enjoying Convergence.
I hope , when Craig gets to the last book, he has a nice satisfying epilogue, rather than final conflict, resolution the end.
Love exforce! Would love to have you on the discord. discord.gg/KuyyU2Yf
Trust the awesomeness. I just started Aftermath. I loved the way failure mode ended.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I think we're going to be in a new arc
ExExpeditionary Force was amazing! I can't wait for the next book!
Yes! Thank you for watching and subscribing.
Loved the series, didn't really like this book. It felt rushed. The dialogue just went on and on explaining one thing after the other in a big monologue at times, without actually doing much or without progressing any additional context. At the end of the day, the antagonist had no personality, it was just a "thing" to be dealt with. This felt like it was written as an obligation under a timeline than the quality of most of the other books in this series
I definitely feel like Craig heard criticisms about what we didn't get to see so this book was setting up for what we didn't get to see in the series
It was fun but felt like the set up for last set of book dealing with the end threat.
Would like a spoiler review too. About to read the next book but I don't remember everything about this one
I lost my husband 18 months ago we listened to all the books I like to think he listening to them with me, but I feel like this is a middling book in the series, still thing books 8&9 were better. I miss Smyth being British I liked the character alot. It was obvious from a few books ago where the series was going, the outsiders would eventually be the end game for the series which I'm pretty happy with even if it was predictable, It was obvious that mionraider was not an elder AI even from the beginning, as elder A.I.s have been done to death in the books and after you beat the elders what's next. Anyway it's a solid gold 7.5 out of ten for me.
Yeah I felt like this was a heavy setup book to fight the Outsiders
@@J.R.Carrel I still rationed the book, I just finished it today, I feel sad now, I liked the twice yearly too out.
@@nicolajohnson1887 oh I bet they'll be a book before the end of the year is out
@@J.R.Carrel xmass 2024 is what I've heard, which makes sense.

I read it and it was fine, though as with most of them there's a good deal of chatting (maybe even filler) in the middle and it ends with a final battle that seems to feel squeezed in? From what I've heard another is due may 24, and further spin off books into 25. This series is Craig's main success and cash cow and it must be hard to refuse offers from audible to continue writing a story
100% that's what I said when he ended it apparently with failure mode. It wasn't a true ending just in case he ever wanted to come back. Can't fault him for wanting to make money though
@@J.R.Carrel I get the feeling he would like to move on and has tried a couple of new novels, but they never sell in the same volumes as exp force. So in some ways he's created a monster that will feed him well as long he feeds us more expeditionary books that despite us moaning the story stretched, repetitive and mainly filler, we will continue to buy forever 🙂
Trust the awsomness
You always have to trust the awesomeness
let's face it Joe is an obnoxious 13 year old talking about nothing most of the time to fill the chapters. it wouldn't surprise me to see this in a movie or a TV series it's that bad because most of TV and movies are poorly written nowadays. Got to say though the narrator was great, it's the only thing that kept people buying the books, to see if the writing would actually get any better. I'm sad to say it got worse! Craig could have dumped all the nonsense and made a good trilogy.
I think the dialogue is what drives the books. I think that Craig is probably the best dialogue writer, there's probably more dialogue in these books than any other book I've ever read and they're just fun.
I agree I like the books and am glad there are So many but now at times is too childish for a high ranking military officer but then he needs to be otherwise skippy would not work as a character and we probably listen because of skippy, in fact we refereed to the books as skippy rather than expeditionary force.
@@nicolajohnson1887 yeah I tend to agree and I think the next book will start to show that more because I would think being a self-published author Craig probably listens to his readers a lot. Thanks for watching I'll probably be the first when the next book comes out
Utter nonsense. The series is great, the writing is simplistic and well done. The universe is fleshed out and exciting. Your opinion isn't the only opinion
@@Mrdoom26 oh snap, people like what they like
