I love the little voices they gave all the characters. This is peak Banjo Kazooie dialogue energy here.
With the reviews for this game as high as they are, I’m looking forward to this. Not just this walkthrough, but the future of Paper Mario. This is exactly what I was hoping for; A Paper Mario game so good, the world can’t help but sing its praises loud enough to get Nintendo’s attention, and make them wonder why this game is so much more beloved than the last three games.
Between Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, which had better writing and/or gameplay for you?
@@Loner098 I’ve never had an interest in Bug Fables, so I can’t compare the two.
@@JJ_R Well, since you plan to complete the remake of TTYD first, maybe you could give Bug Fables a chance once you're finished?
@@Loner098 tbh both are good they have there own unique style in the same format
I can’t believe you are really re-starting this game!!
I thought the whole "voice" thing when a unique character's text is shown was something Bug Fables came up with itself, but it actually was based on this game (or its sequels).
I ended up missing out on this game since I wasn't much of a Mario guy, but around 2009 I started watching Let's Players, and I didn't mind watching different ones that did this game. The music, the story, I was impressed.
All of this is to say that despite not playing it myself, I believe people when they say it's an amazing game. Looking forward to the rest of the walkthrough.
Extremely well done with this part, and already beginning off strong. But already begins a big new Adventure, and after a lot, time to head underground. Keep doing amazing.
So excited to see you playing this. Im pretty far in the game myself, but it'll be fun to see your playthrough. It'll really help when it comes to star pieces.
Zess T. is a very grumpy chef.
I've never played the original as a teen, so I'm thinking about getting it later today
I can't help but wonder if Podley is a bean person from the Beanbean Kingdom, especially since Goombella mentions chuckola cola.
The cola is coincidental since it’s just wine in the japanese version. But he could be, he definitely looks like it.
I remember, as a little boy, watching my brothers play this game a lot. I never got to play it (because all the save files were taken), and I also didn't care for the turn-based gameplay because it was too slow, and I never liked that the enemies were allowed to land a free hit on you. Paper Mario (and Pokemon Blue) ultimately made me hate RPGs as a result. That's not to say I hated everything about the games; I just couldn't stand the repetitive battles.
I eventually warmed up to the genre when I played Pokemon Black Version, but I still had a love-hate relationship with Paper Mario.
But now I'm willing to give this game (along with the original Paper Mario and all RPGs) the second chance it deserves. In fact, I was excited when this remake was announced (I recognized the first four notes from the opening), and I've grown to love the characters and story more. I can't wait to finally play it for the first time!
I didn't actually play the game that much, but from what I've seen this game has clearer lighting than the original, and overall it pretty much looks distinct than how it was before. Can't wait to see the rest of the playthrough.
One thing I've always wondered: what do the X-nauts look like under those costumes?
Yay! Can’t wait to see it.
2:55 An actual nouse in a Mario game?! Hot damn.
3:15 We get that, Peach, but you do realize you get kidnapped every other week, right?
13:41 Not even 15 minutes in, and we received our first kiss.
13:48 My guess for Mario raising his thumb up is due to concerns of raising one's hand in a very specific way in Germany.
13:52 Well, he can't be THAT famous if you didn't recognize him right away, Goombella. I mean, just how many other people are there in this world that look like Mario and wear red clothes?
24:16 Actually, I just noticed that Fright Masks in this shop have been replaced with Sleepy Sheeps.
31:50 So, does Merlon not remember us? I mean, it's not like he was a major character in the last game or anything, but he still treated us with a degree of familarity, but in this game, we're just clients to him now. Are there multiple Merlons? Are Merlons just another race like Goombas and Koopas? "What are the RULES, damn it?!"
34:02 Then what the hell are YOU doing here, Frankly? You must believe it exists, too, yes?
Lol at you losing your mind about finding logic behind the multiple Merlons. Well, Hawlo said that this Merlon is different from the one of the previous game. If you think about it, it makes sense, he doesn't even look the same.
This game looks great!
HERE WE GO LADS AND LASSES
A game where dialogue is like Banjo-Kazooie.
Another game I've played the shit out of multiple times. Now to see it in HD.
8:48 Yeah that one is a winner.
26:48 The Superstar Saga reference was interesting.
27:07 Well that's new. And it's gonna be the new fun thing!
And good luck with the Pit once you get there.
10:27 Funny because green are the 1-up mushrooms.
Not in this game.
The game we wanted after Mario RPG
As a Super Paper Mario Fan, I am equally excited as hell with ttyd and malding bc I personally don't put it as high as a pedestal as everyone else. I never will think TTYD is bad, just overrated. Beyond that, I really love the first few minutes of the Prologue from what I've seen. And the Rougeport music??? Yeah, this is ambitious work right here
This remake will be THE one for Paper Mario. Now, if only Sticker Star was remade to be bearable
Are you gonna do BP run like before you did in the original one? Anyway, I really love this remake. This is my mosy favorite Paper Mario game!
And also it has a korean version of this remake and I really like it!
Woohoo! Here we go!
Or should that be “Yahoo”?
21:00 Why is Zess T. not happy?
Why is Zess T. not smiling?
Nice
WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE FISH
Well When Your Done With The Nintendo Switch Version Of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Let Me Know When You’ll Do Some Playlists Such As: Super Paper Mario, Paper Mario: Sticker Star & Color Splash With Mario & Luigi: Dream Team & Paper Jam, OK?
Hawlo did some games before
Ok not sure I like the glossy look but then again I never played the game and I don’t have a Nintendo switch
Do you still consider chapter 4 the worst?
I'm not there yet, so we'll see.
but hawlo and persona 3 reload?
After Xenoblade 3.
Okay thanks
Nintendo Switch in New and Remake, but...
