"I believe that trigger pull sensation is more important than weight. I'd rather have a great 12lb trigger than a gritty 3lb."
Indeed, and I think this bears repeating. In the current (and overly simplistic) obsession with lightweight triggers, I wish more people understood this. Of course, if the only thing one can shoot accurately is a very lightweight trigger, it also speaks volumes about that person's depth of experience and skill.
Thank you for agreeing with me on that, I was certain I'd gather some hate for it.
This is the most important thing ive ever heard in regards to triggers
Hells yeah! I have a SCCY with a 9 lbs DAO trigger, but it's smooth all the way to the break and I love it. Same goes for my M&P Bodyguard. I hear too many reviewers on RUclips cry over "heavy and long trigger pulls".
I have a one pound trigger on all my Glocks and that's the only trigger I shoot with ;-)
Thousands of rounds through my PX4 Type F in 9MM, Full Size. My thoughts: [1] zero failures with all manner of ammo, brass or steel casing, FMJ or JHP, she just eats 'em right up [2] the rotating barrel is no joke and seriously mitigates recoil. Shooters of slight build, who may have had problems managing recoil with other traditional pistols, will really like this [3] Entirely appropriate for concealed carry even in full size, I find it safe and easy to deploy rapidly [4] I'm shooting the straight factory model brand new from Beretta for under $500, and I've seen the compact model around $450. Folks looking for a rock-solid reliable hammer-fired sidearm would be hard pressed to do better. JMHO.
That blue piece of plastic is there to prevent the top lid of the box from touching the top of the pizza.
Also can by used if taking the gun down . IE parts pins... so that’s what I was told .
I think you're actually correct. The case is - to be honest - cheap junk. My kids have toy guns that came in better packaging. I tossed it the day I got mine home. I could see the magazines being damaged if the case got smashed/squeezed somehow in shipping - so I think the blue thing is to provide it with some support. Great gun but I'm a little disappointed in the case considering the price. Factor that into your haggling at the gun counter.
@@biglar155 I agree. Love Berettas but their cases are pretty chintzy.
I use the blue cup to drink my Beretta kool aid
@@biglar155 Stop complaining about something as simple as the case it came in. Most guns come in cardboard boxes.
I recently bought a new PX4 compact at a gun show for $350. I replaced the stock hammer spring with a d spring. This brought the trigger down about a pound in both double and single action. I swapped out the decocker/safety levers for the stealth g levers which made the gun decock only. I also added Tractiongrips. Not quite a Compact Carry but I've only got about $450 in the gun and it is truly a sweet shooter.
The Compact Carry version of this is my daily carry. In my opinion the PX4 is a very underrated gun, especially the versions from Langdon Tactical. They are extremely flat shooting pistols and are dead nuts reliable
is compact shorter barrel?
@@carloisidoresalcedo6325 Shorter barrel and grip.
@@AzayBae 3/4" ?I was going to hold out for the Compact 9mm but the width is the exact same and it is just 3/4" longer? weight difference is just over 3 rounds of ammo. So running a smaller mag could make a full size weigh less than a compact.
@@Oblivionsurveyor It has been a while since I checked but I think the fullsize is just an inch longer for that 4".
When I was considering getting one of these I was looking at the Langdon Tactical ones from the sight. The full size is just slightly cheaper.
I really should rent one of these to shoot for fun.
I was gifted one a while back sat in my safe for like a year. Finally shot it last week and I really enjoyed it.
The Blue Cup is to keep the box from being crushed, and to place parts while cleaning.
I have a PX4 Storm Compact and the locking lug has an extension on it that goes to the front of the slide. Thus it has very little movement side to side or up and down.
My Compact is one soft and flat shooting pistol.
I have the BERETTA PX4 CARRY and I absolutely love it! I have the 92X, as well, but I carry the PX4 LANGDON more than my GLOCKS! This gun is underrated, it fires beautifully! If y’all don’t have this, get one, you won’t regret it! GOTTA LOVE BERETTAS!
Oh, and the cheap plastic case??? Who gives a shit, it sits in a drawer! Lol
What happened to the range review? I have two of these, and they shoot great.
Jumping back into Beretta with both feet I see? Very nice!
I have two of the Compact Carry pistols, and they’re great shooters. I don’t know if your pistol has a D spring, but Ernest is putting 11# Wilson Combat mainsprings in his pistols now. I installed 12# mainsprings in my pistols, and they’re 100% reliable. I have several Sig P229 and 226 pistols, and never the bore axis was too high. The PX4 sits much lower than those pistols, so you’re going to love it (hopefully). Thanks for sharing!
LOL! If you think I am filming this with my eyes...
I have to tell you this. I just went to Google to see whose front sight is on this gun. In the SERPS you were at the top in less than 30 mins from the time you posted the video! Way to go!
I have the beretta compact carry LTT. I put a Wilson hammer spring in it which cost about five dollars and took about five minutes to do and reduced the double action Pull to 8 pounds and in the single action Pull to 3 pounds
I have pretty much turned my stock Inox px4 into this gun before it came out. Great gun.
Really appreciated your delivery.
Thank you
Did you ever do a follow up video? I've looked, can't find it.
Great production and knowledge. :)
Back to the old intro music, nice.
Since suppressors aren't legal here, am definitely interested in rotating-barrel pistols a la Grand Power 9mms. Like the general OEM build quality, long slide rails, and decocker/safety on the GPs better, but parts availability is a problem (like 10rd mags for us here in non-freedom). Bunch of good info, thanks.
Dude I paused the video because I love that your intro song is dawn patrol by Megadeth!
I could be wrong, but that little purple cylinder looks like an inexpensive version of an armorer's block. Something to help you push out the pins if you ever need to completely disassemble the gun. That, or it's just a cozy for your caffe macchiato
Nope. Its there to help prevent the plastic case from crushing in during shipping and transport.
@@MatteoSixSeventyFour I'm skeptical. Unless Beretta really started cheaping out on their cases, no gun I've ever purchased from them when they need that. Is this something you're reading on their site or their official literature?
If that's really the function of it, I'm curious why they would possibly go through all the trouble of stamping a logo on it, if it's just something to toss away. That makes me think of something intended to be kept and used for a different purpose
@@Laotzu.Goldbug Well that disc came with the last two Berettas I've bought. And that came directly from Beretta rep. It's not an armors block. LoL
@@MatteoSixSeventyFour I believe you. I was only asking where you got the information from. If you heard it directly from a Beretta wrap, then I suppose that's what it is
Holding your carry ammo
The blue plastic cup is for your dentures.
Looks like the round blue plastic piece in the case was put there to keep the pistol and mags from rubbing together, keep them snug.
Looks like typical Beretta goodness to me, but I’ve not had the pleasure of shooting a PX4 in any incarnation yet. My exposure to Beretta is with my 92A1, but I’ve always heard good things about the PX4 series. Look forward to the range/What’s for Dinner Video!
I own a full siz PX4 and it shoots like a dream for me! VERY soft shooting and it's a sin that Beretta did not market this gun as much as they do their 92s. The PX4 is one of their lil gems they need to embrace some more.
I really like mine.
I'm not usually brand loyal, but Beretta's DA's are my exception.
Shoots amazing for me.
I gave this video a thumbs up 2 years ago, but for some stupid reason never commented on it. What a great gun that never got enough recognition! I’d say it’s “Wonderfully Different” but Grand Power already took the rotating barrel to new heights (cough) biased (cough) 😉 LOL
I love mine. I am a big fan of Beretta to start with, but this one is all you need out of the box. Shoots great.
I've owned my full size PX4 Storm for several years now and I love this tool for both home defense and for concealed carry. My only problem with it is the fact that nobody commercially makes a holster for it that allows for an attachment to the light rail. Other than that, it has been a very reliable pistol. I also have it's big brother the CX4 Storm and they play very nicely together sharing magazines.
I had one made for my px4 and Olight pl mini valkyrie by Cleveland kydex. HolsterCo also makes one and there are many others as well.
@@mickbowling4412, how much did the custom holster run? Also, can you give me contact info for them?
@@francispedicone2576 they're very affordable as custom holsters go. Very good quality as well. I have 2, one for my PX4 and one for my CZ P01. Both light bearing holsters. They run around $50 or so. You can just Google Cleveland Kydex and go to their webpage and it will have options to look up your gun/light combo.
Lots of color options as well. I got one in gun metal grey for my PX4 Inox, and an FDE one for the P01.
@@mickbowling4412 Thanks Buddy, I have been looking for a holster for this combo as well
The blue plastic tin is for holding pins and springs when you strip the gun.
PX4 is great!
Thiz may be my next handgun.. I want something reliable and rare.. I have a Ruger and 2 Glocks.. Im looking at this Beretta, Steyr, Grand Power, Baby Desert Eagles...
Rare handguns but super reliable..
I always thought the plastic cup was for parts... That's what I use it for
I think the blue / purple small cylinder container serves the purpose of collecting parts when you do cleaning job .... Just Guessing !
I have all 3 px4 cal 9mm &40cal & THE 45 acp they are all some.
Es muy bueno tú canal, pero me gustaría q tus videos, fueran subtitulados!, no crees?
Saludos de Colima 🇲🇽
The Blue cilinder Is a sort of pillar for the plastic case.
As these have been finally getting appreciated as of late the prices are going up now. Sportsman's has them $549 now.
I found it interesting the difference in weight is equal to less than 4 rounds of 9mm between the Compact and fullsize. So if you want the same weight just don't load 4 rounds heh.
Was this with the trigger job and robar np3 finish for 1000$?
Graham, what I really want to know is how your case's left-hand latch has held up. I just bought one a couple of days ago and I can tell from the tension that case has when closed means the left latch isn't long for this world. It looks just like mine.
I didn't have the gun long
The circle object is to keep the case from collapsing 😊
How do you compare these to the Grand Powers? P1 Ultra or maybe the k100 X Trim?
How you compare it to the Grand Power DA/SA models?
Why talon grips though ? For the added cost LTT should atleast stipple it
Hi
May you please send the full specs of that gun. I know it's a LT product but I'm looking at getting something similar to that.
I saw a Compact Carry with a different recoil sprint setup, the decocker has an orange dot on it and it dint get the extended 17 mag which im sad about. i wonder why the deference.
This is the Langdon Tactical Model.
Super compact..
İs it same with stoeger cougar 8000? Which one is better?
This is the only place i can find this version of the Px4 other than the beretta website where they dont even have an msrp has it been discontinued? Im really interested in this firearm i dont really want the compact carry.
Try Langdon Tactical's webstie.
Is very nice , I may have missed it but how much are they asking , the price for this gem ?
I don't post prices because they can change while the video can't. Check out their website (I can't link per RUclips's rules).
i loved my px4subcompact. the only problem was the paint peeling off the slide. i sent it back twice and same problem over and over so i sold it. but the langdon tactical is ceracoke with the trigger job so im looking at them again now-lol....... damn you Ernest!!!!! lol nice piece ;)
Is that plus two from Beretta?
Hi thanks for your video I appreciate your work. I would like to purchase one of these but I'm having trouble locating this exact model are you able to tell me the Beretta item number I believe they start with a letter? If you have any suggestions about where I can buy one I'd appreciate it especially online, once again thanks for your effort.
To get a real LTT order through Langdon Tactical.
Man that slide finish is beautiful! Is that part of the LTT?
Yes
Great review! I aim to buy one of these someday, and that Langdon Tactical Carry is magnificent! Thanks...……………………………..elsullo
Is there a shooting review coming?
It should have been out for a year or so
U did not mention the rear Sight
How much is it?
That's not true what you said about weak ejection. I sent a Gen3 Glock 19 back to Glock because I had it. James Yeager had said what you did (that it's not the gun) and how I should do push ups on my firsts. Well, I'm bigger than James so I knew that wasn't it. I sent it to Glock with a video of me shooting it with weak ejection and some brass to the face. Someone from Glock called me and told me it was throwing brass in their faces as well. They told me they had to replaced the dipped extractor which was causing it.
I noticed what looks like the firing pin block seems to rise up out of the top of the side when you pull the trigger. If you hold that down will it stop you from being able to pull the trigger?
Yes, just like on the 92/M9, it becomes a question of who's holding stronger. I don't see that ever being an issue though.
Wade Wilson makes the trigger much harder to pull but the skin on someones hand will give enough for it to go off. unless they have terminator hands of course
Graham, please, where to buy this gun in US now? Looks as it is no way to find it...
Try direct from LTT
@@GBGuns Tried. Nothing.
Then maybe it's been discontinued
@@GBGuns The newest Px4 gun from Beretta... ) Out Of Stock, man. Everywhere!
LAPD took mine 😅😅
Where is your range shooting video ? Beretta PX4 Carry LTT
Question: Is the single large recoil spring and solid guide rod a Langdon part as opposed to Beretta? I picked up one from Beretta, and the recoil rod is fairly tiny with a really small double spring setup. I like the robust look of the arrangement you have.
I don't know.
@@GBGuns Thanks for the reply...be well.
where is the shooting vid for this one?
I don't think we ever made it. Sorry, I don't have the gun anymore
See Langdon Tactical’s Perfect Storm by “Justin Opinion”
You'd think Langdon would have added a metal slide pin. Otherwise, it's got it going on.
But of course is in italian, Beretta is an Italian manufacturer and the gun is made in Italy.
It sure is no Grand Power... (BTW you have converted me. I love my K100)
It's hard to beat the K100, but I'm always on the lookout.
@@GBGuns the only thing I considered an equal so far is the Arex Rex Zero 1. Unquestionable durability. It was just too large for my hands. But I do love how controllable and safe the Rex and K100 are.
I love my Rex Zero 1 Compact! Great guns!
3:30 Are they afraid you will develop a habit of pointing a gun at yourself?
In 40cal makes this better
That round piece in the case is to keep the case from being crushed.
Fuck yeah! Megadeth- Dawn Patrol
Who else turns the phone slightly when he points the camera down the barrel?
THAT CYLINDER IS FOR THE CASE DON'T GET SMASH IN THE CENTER OF THE CASE !!
That's your pizza box cup
That's not a review, box opening yes, great guns.
Next time check the video tittle. This is a tabletop video. If you want to see shooting g impressions check the video tittled "Shooting Impressions:
Dawn patrol
Might sound like a dumb question but is this model the same as the Compact Carry version? UPC 082442864686
No, this is a full size
I really didn’t like the trigger
Hi, does anyone know how I can get a Beretta into UK? I always wanted
one, purely for self defence, home protection. But our stupid UK law
stands in the way.
I can't find your shooting test by this gun .
I guess it must be eliminated by bloody "dear RUclips"
The packaging is not very good. Normally Beretta package their guns better then that.
grip is not handy
Когда уже у нас в Україні таке розрішать.
Дивитися прямо зло бере.
Its Awesome but just always been ugly for a italian company they make ugly gun, quality is great though.
Did you ever do a head to head comparison of the px4 and k100??
No, unfortunately I only had this pistol for a short time on loan. I wish I had.
@@GBGuns sounds like a video is in order! Some years back I had a px4 compact. I remember really enjoying it. The only issue I had was pin in the gip that would back out every few hundred rounds. Ended up trading it for something. Now I have few grand power pistols and am very curious about a comparison.
That little cut thing is for placing your hearing aids in when you shooting. Lord knows you won't need them for that!
