The song is called Show Me Your Hands Cop Song is from Urinetown Sorry I just- Cop Song is stuck in my head at all times and I just wanted to say that it is nOt the same as Show Me Your Hands
I read a comment where they theorized that Paul made it out fine, he just had a sing-songy voice thanks to his proximity to the meteor, but Emma was hopped up still on meds and was having a panic attack and thought everyone was going crazy.
Like seriously, she literally sings a song convincing a loving and supportive father that he failed his daughter and that he should kill himself. THAT is so messed up.
I love the fact that this and Show Me Your Hands implies the aliens don’t entirely get all knowledge about human customs after taking over a body. “We’re cops, and we make sense!”
How dare you not include the "sing the beginning of moana!" scene (ik it’s not a song, but still) Edit: how did y’all keep the chain going for this long I’m honestly impressed
I've only been a fan of Starkid for a few months now, and I still remember the day I watched TGWDLM for the first time. This was the very first musical I've seen from Starkid. Out of all my reactions, the amount of pure shock I had when I first saw "Cup of Poisoned Coffee" was indescribable. It's still my favorite song to this day.
Honestly my favorite part in the whole musical is "And i know it's a singular voice, Paul, you've just got to give up your choice" because damn Roberts voice is beautiful
My added favorites: All the the funny theatre stuff after La Dee Dah Dah Day Matt Lang doing Emma Jaimes wiggly arms in Roasted Coffee Sam shaking the glasses off Mariah’s dead but realistic bad ass voice in Show Me your hands I hate That Charlotte dies but Jaimes voice Mariah constantly riffing The sad part where they develop Alices character to really be depressed and she’s actually dead now The hand movements of “at the edge of my wits” “mark” “A Show Stoppin Number (with the glorious vamping)” Donna and the dynamos hahahahaha Greenpeace Girl literally is a small part with a beautiful song Dead nurse Mariah ready to hug
God I love when Paul's fighting with himself and changing voices in "Let it out", but also the Poisoned Coffee bits where they go "Hey Mr. Business". Such a cool byline. Side note, my favorite part wasn't in here, but it was the part where Paul meets the government agent before he gets infected. They sync "watches". "WEAR A WATCH. TIME IS A PRECIOUS THREAD IN THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE, IT DESERVES IT'S OWN TOOL OF MEASUREMENT!"
wAIT OMG If you look at 9:20 you can see that Jaime's hands are out of sync then she fixes it This isn't hating, I think it's adorable and really good that she just continues as normal
Charlotte and Sam in both “You Tied Up My Heart” and “Join Us and Die” are my entire couple goals. I listen to this soundtrack every chance I can it’s kinda concerning
I just realised what Pauls part in Let It Out Reminds me of! It bears a strange resemblance to "who's crazy/My Psychopharmacologist and I" from Next to Normal. Its differwnt but some of the same pattern are there I think?
The show stopper guy when he said" Spotlight on Mr.Ingenue" he just made me swoon with that look one his face.😂😶 But this is one of my favorite songs and plus the choreography is on point!
3:56 "They left me here to dIE!" is my favorite bit from the whole show. If we were still in tumblr's hayday Jeff in that scene would be my profile pic absolutely
The amused and terriffied "ooohs" from the audience at "America is great again" gave me shivers the first time I watched this. The look on Jeff's face doesn't help. :P
no one appreciates how absolutely into the dancing ted is!!! we all know about "and chad :D" but like.. look at him during robert's dance in show me those hands
when Robert sings “we’ll kill the reviews” in show stopping number,,,,, he had NO right to take my heart and no one i have seen appreciates that moment
Everyone talks about Roberts hip wiggle but nobody talks about a joeys reaction at that moment. He’s lovin’ it too.
that's what makes me laugh even more 😂😂😂
Ted radiates such Bisexual energy and I love it
Ted is just everyone watching in that scene
honestly i lowkey ship the professor and ted just because of ted's reactions to this song lmao
well in show stopping number you should just watch ted and see his face when robert does his dance
