[ Animation-A-Day: 078 ] --- Whoa! I am blown away by the power of #Spline. I am barely scratching the surface of what can be done. I discovered the “Game Mode” feature, and I already have 99 ideas. First, I must master the basics.
For this animation, I wanted to try to create a realistic object in 3D. Neon lights inspire my brand’s aesthetic, and I figured that would be a perfect stepping stone for something simple yet stunning.
After fumbling around with the custom paths I created for the letters, I was able to figure out a solution to “pixel-perfect” lines in 3D. Rather than trying to drag the points around in space, I typed precise coordinates for each point using a simple 1x1 grid for measurements. I found it easier to roughly draw the shape first, and then move the points to precise locations according to the grid.

I look forward to more experiments and more discoveries through the power of 3D animation. I already know what I am going to do for tomorrow.
