So, if Beast Wars is canon to G1, would the Insecticons basically be Pre-BW Predacons? They landed on Earth around the same time as Megatron, they were reformatted to adapt to life on Earth by having them feast on organic food and giving them insect alt modes. That’s basically what happened to the Predacons when they arrived on Prehistoric Earth and took on the beast alt modes.
Well, technically the G1 era that occurred prior to Beast Wars is said to be a combination of both the Sunbow cartoon and the Marvel comics. So it's hard to say if during Beast Wars the Insecticons were supposed to be somewhere on Earth trying to adapt, or back on Cybertron serving under Straxus. But either way, the Insecticons were the forerunners to the Predacons and the Dinobots were the forerunners to the Maximals, as the first Transformers with beast modes in the franchise. The Pretenders and Micromasters were forerunners to both groups as well. The Incecticons always confused me. Have they been hanging out and eating on Earth for 4 million years or did they just reawaken for some reason? And a Deception escape pod has the ability to change their shapes like Teletran-1 but the Nemesis didn't?
I think of it like how Beast Wars portrayed their respective escape pods. That they came packaged with alternate mode scanners. Not to mention the Autobots and Decepticons were both on the ARK rather than the Nemesis when they crashed into Earth. But it's safe to say the Nemesis probably also had an alternate mode scanner as well.
All of the known Nemesis Decepticons boarded the Autobots' _Ark_ to wipe them out. When the Ark was pulled into Earth's gravitational field and/or Optimus Prime crashed the ship (in order to keep the Decepticons from discovering Autobot secrets), The tethered Nemesis was pulled down too, making it crash... somewhere else. (According to Beast Wars' final episodes, Tarantulas and the Predacons found it, attempted to use it against the downed Ark, and upon losing control, had it crash in a new location.) Nevertheless, a human archeology team discovered the crashed Nemesis in Latin America.

He can also leap huge distances, making him by far the fastest of the Insecticons, able to get into and out of locations quickly. Plus he can fly quicker and further than the other two. Bombshell can only fly for 5.7 miles before he has to refuel, whereas Kickback has a range of 100 miles. The Insecticons each have unique abilities suited to their functions. Shrapnel and Bombshell are both warriors, whereas Kickback is a spy.

The singular purpose of any friendship that this Insecticon begins is to dig up embarrassing facts about the other robot or person so that Kickback can influence his "friend" into doing his bidding. @@unplugged123 Nah I'm just making fun speculations.
@@Quintesson05 Given how the Ark was in the Pacific Northwest and Beast Wars Megatron brought the Nemesis there only for it to go down after the final battle of the war, it makes me wonder how it got to South America?
20:36 Error: When the Insecticons were confused that they picked the wrong allies, Some parts of Bombshell are black.
Sideswipe sounds like Prowl. And good to see my first Transformer Windcharger.
Him & Prowl have the same voice actor
Thanx, I didn't know that.
@@jaysonraphaelmurdock8812 Michael Bell, who also does Scrapper, Bombshell(!), Swoop, Dr Fujyama, and (if you have watched Rebirth) you will recognise him immediately as Brainstorm
Out of all three Insecticons, Bombshell was my favourite because he was not only smart but he could control any Transformer through his cerebro shells which to me made him the most dangerous of the trio plus i always looked at him as the true leader of the team.
2:00 it is weirdly funny that it was said that it took place in Island of Bali, Indonesia but the people spoke like Indians/Bengalis using British accent
Part of the enjoyment of watching these again is picking up the little animation screw-ups, like at 2:57. ;-)
Thanks for all season 1 brings me back to my childhood memories. Can't wait to start season 2 .
Megatron is chilling on the side ofthe building.
I think the writers need a lesson on how electricity works. If a lightning bolt can jump through a mile of open air...trust me, a few inches of wet rubber ain't gonna stop it!
Yup. It's the faraday cage effect that protects you inside the car.
Shrapnel: controls lightning and makes clones
Bombshell: brain washes his enemies
Kickback: 🦵
Kickback:
.....kicks things?
He can also leap huge distances, making him by far the fastest of the Insecticons, able to get into and out of locations quickly. Plus he can fly quicker and further than the other two. Bombshell can only fly for 5.7 miles before he has to refuel, whereas Kickback has a range of 100 miles. The Insecticons each have unique abilities suited to their functions.
Shrapnel and Bombshell are both warriors, whereas Kickback is a spy.
@@Rocket1377WOW! That's actually pretty cool!! 😅
The clone thing is something the animated series pulled out of their asses. There is nothing in their toy bios or the comic books series where they can clone themselves. I’m not sure where that came from. Maybe just a shameless attempt to sell more toys?
@@luizantoniosouza2767
Check out his bio and you will see what a dangerous and loathsome character kickback was
The animated series never explored/fleshed out his character properly
“Friend is another word for fool."
Profile: Kickback is as charming a guy as you'll ever meet - but it is a charm rooted in an uncommonly cruel cleverness. The singular purpose of any friendship that this Insecticon begins is to dig up embarrassing facts about the other robot or person so that Kickback can influence his "friend" into doing his bidding. Humans are particularly susceptible to his seductive talents, but even Autobots have been known to succumb. The only thing Kickback enjoys more than recruiting these unwilling double agents is destroying them after he's exhausted their usefulness.
The episode that introduce my favorite trio: The INSECTICONS!! I mostly love Shrapnel.
Thanks hasbro, make indonesia popular in G1 episode😁
Thanks guys! We need a Transformers Victory English dub now!
A good one, hopefully
Agreed.
@@ItsAdamMC Yeah, the dub I watched as a kid seemed good...but when u rewatch it as an adult, OMG the voice acting was bad
By Hasbro-Allspark? Maybe.
Your first, well done
I've watched this series of Transformers mentioned one of Indonesia's province, that is Bali. Thx for Hasbro which show this scene.
That farmer’s scream was hilarious! Oah!
“I knew we should have sprayed the crops!”
@@HunterTheHero "The monsturrs are back! Rrrrrru-u-unnnnnnn!"
19:09 "Nooo!!! You will not defeat Shrapnel! (Shrapnel)"
Thank you Hasbro for sharing these
When are we getting season 2?
Tomorrow morning on thw HasbroPulse RUclips channel!
Yesterday
Dog pigi
Just finished season 1 and I thought, why cant they just get along? Why do they have to fight? There’s enough for everybody.
'Megatron Catch' man that was something seeing Optimus pick up that tanker like that it showed just how strong he was.
Hasbro 's got hungry hungry hippos. Transformers got the Insecticons. The hungry hungry bots.
I saw this episode in spanish, in english sounds cool! Thank you for share this episode!
Since the Beast Wars Predacon insignia looks more bug-like and less beast-like, I refer to it as the Insecticon insignia.
9:22 You don’t remember escaping from the ship like Megatron said at 4:13?
The insecticons were my fave transformers
they really gave the insecticons like 8 powers each
those local Indonesian speaks English language fluently,im very proud
Bali has many Australian tourist visitors
Megatron seems more calm with screamer not around
Megatron has been cruised with a tanker ship.... I GUESS THAT MAKES ME THE NEW LEADER!
One of my favourite episodes. I've seen this one so many times and know the dialogue dialogue 😂 it showcases a good range of Autobots too.
Anyone else noticed the goof where Skyfire flew with the decepticons at 10:50
Yeh I noticed that g1 had quite a lot of animation errors there quite funny sometimes
@@notapeopleperson9390 Yes, like two versions of Starscream in season one is one of many 😂
@@AndyKirtland11 or where iron hide tranforms into vehicle mode then is some how is robot mode next shot not to mention he was supposed to be transforming into robot mode
There's something about the simplicity of the Insecticons that I just really like. They don't have huge aspirations for power or control...they're just hungry lol. Set them up at a home town buffet or something and they'd probably end up staying out of the way. Also their voices are just so cool to listen too, something about the vocal effects used hits different.
They may be the second most medal transformers right after the Dino bots.
I honestly thought the Jumpstarters were going to be in the G1 cartoon battling the Insecticons. They were released about the same time.
I think this is the only time that Megatron ever refered to Ravage as the Ravage cassette.
Some people says G1 optimus isnt cool
G1 optimus: 20:29
What's even funnier, is how he just says "CATCH" like it was a beach ball and throws that behemoth with little to no sound effects.
The spiders from Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" sound like Shrapnel.
21:16 xwing sound
Skyfire required more maintenance than a out of warranty Range Rover😅
19:56 optimus’s famous strength feet
Decepticon space model with the autobot symbol! .🤣🤣
The insections just made this episode, and I love how these early ones established the lore for both autobot and decepticon teams.
21:44 Spike actually did get that transforming exo-suit as an adult. Good on Wheeljack to keep his word!
The first ever appearance and constant annoyance of the Insecticons, Shrapnel has the most interesting voice, voice, voice?
I love the insectacons.
(Optimus Prime)”Megatron, Catch!!”(20:29)
To this day I have Vietnam flashbacks to this episode whenever I see a big
Little does thundercracker know he’ll command the insections in about 30 years after he gets re-formated as scourge . 😂😂
Kickback: "Hey! Watch it, dragon-breath!"
I love insecticons voice in g1 and transformesing and this guys is cooler than jazz
Is not like the Insecticon been in the Beast Wars. Beside, the Predacon Leader : Megatron could not find. Nooo. But Blackarachnia mention a Insecticon named Shrapnel.
