$1,200 story: It's amazing how far a little calmness and kindness will go when dealing with money. Years ago when I was a toddler (I'm 68 now) my mother was Christmas shopping and received $20 too much in change. The cashier had been rude otherwise my mother would have gotten back in line and returned the money. Given that $20 back then is about $216 in today's money, we had an extra nice Christmas that year. Taco bar story: I agree with OP's father! Karen was supposedly a supervisor/manager of some type. You would think she would take the time to KNOW who worked for her, even as casual entertainment. I wonder what the guys in the band thought? Condo story: All I can say is well done! I hate people that flex simply because they can and play the race card on top of it, even when it's not warranted.
Story 2: It's not exactly racial profiling or racially insensitive for someone to think that the Hispanic dude in a nice outfit is a member of a decidedly Hispanic-origin type of band at an event where one of said bands is performing. The racist accusation gets thrown around a little too easily sometimes IMO. Edit: 9:26 Case in point. As OP explained literally one sentence prior, her not being invited has nothing to do with her race, but she decided it must. I absolutely HATE when people assume racism and legally go after someone. Like, um, did u not hear the actual story? U were excluded because ur not an owner. Simple

I was going to comment that same thing. It was one thing if he called Karen out over her racial profiling. But when he started demanding things for free for not only him but for his party that was when he turned from the hero into the villain of that particular story I find that father actions to be pretty sleazy.
Agreed. Maybe there was racism involved or maybe he was profiled because he looked like someone who would be in a band. If someone said to me "Hey, in this crowd of people is one guy who's in the band" and everyone looks normal except the lone cowboy. Guess who I'd assume was the band member. I'm not discounting racism though.
to the story 2 the op's dad is kinda an asshole. While yes it's nice to get back at someone who's bothering you and the woman could have been nicer about making sure he was supposed to be there, there was absolutely no reason to play the race card. It will just make it harder for other people down the road who actually do get racially profiled. Especially since the situation was caused not by his race but by the way he choose to dress. It was cause by a choice he made and was entirely within his control.
in the last story I myself would just and bide my time to see if ole karen would ever run for governor because you know mayor and everything and then if she did run for governor I would send all of those dirty little secrets that she had to all of the media outlets and newspapers nation wide
