There we experienced a once in a lifetime sight of COUNTLESS SCARLET MACAWS in an almond tree. This was amazing, beyond words and something you must see and hear. Macaws are usually in pairs, mating for life and their loud raspy calls can create quite a commotion. You can always hear then when flying by! Macaws or Lapas in Spanish are very plentiful around Jaco Beach and over the entire central Pacific Coast!
