The definition of Perfection !!!
I was surprised to see Alaa Wardi joining forces with Peter Hollens. How could they arranged this meeting? Anyways, I'm glad to see an Arab man working with a foreign man. Both of them are talented and famous.
They actually have never met! When they filmed this Alaa was still in Saudi Arabia! They both recorded their perspective parts then Peter Hollens layered everything.. This is the end result. Sweet right?
Actually it was a collaboration over the seas! Peter was in Oregon while Alaa in Riyadh. They organized over the phone and the Internet each putting pieces together.. It's awesome as far as I know it has never been done this way before! Alaa has attempted several times over the years while a member of "Bands Without Borders" trying to get a U.S. visa but to no avail.. So since Peter couldn't go there and Alaa couldn't come here to AMERICA they had to be extra creative. I think it's so awesome!!
These are really difficult lyrics even for an Indian singing, so you guys did a really good job!

Actually it is a Hollywood song and not Bollywood. A.R. Rahman won an Oscar for this song. It is Hindi but of an English movie Slumdog Millionaire. :)

I was never ashamed that this was a Bollywood song... Actually am proud now that that Bollywood has won an Oscar... :) Thanks Rahman... This song was used in an English movie and hence I said it was a Hollywood song... I never knew the inside story as mentioned by ***** Guess I would have to increase my networks in Hollywood and Bollywood to know which song was supposed to be played where and in case it was rejected and then played in a different movie etc etc etc... :O :P
