      No problems at all and thanks for the feedback. I wanted to take a different approach with the production of this project. Aiming for Raw with less Hollywood to be more transparent about what it’s like to serve.

      @@Rangermedia Yes that's what I want, an insight to the tests, clearly outlined and spoken concisely with no Hollywood. To see the lads get stuck in is a bonus, and to get it in a tidy video is just so refreshing. So much of the Army videos are just a bit polished for me, as we all secretly know the training is hard. So it's nice to see the boys puking, tripping, lung busting and giving it heaps. This is what will spark the young infanteers - a visible and impossible challenge 💪

      Thanks! Yeah I do think strength and conditioning is now a big part of PT before all these events etc that should hopefully combat a lot of long term use injuries similar to what you have experienced. Yeah Brecon was good and January weather didn’t disappoint lol.

    Question for ya... Have you had shoulder/arm pockets tailored on to your shirt? If so great idea! Im guessing you prefer to wear a shirt over a ubac ?

    • @Rangermedia
      @Rangermedia  5 месяцев назад

      Glad you like it, yeah I had them tailored during OP TORAL. This is an old style shirt which I wish they still made. It’s when MTP first came out. UbACS are still good especially when your in body armour for long periods in hot climates. I would prefer UBACS then. Less prickly heat

    Really enjoying the recent videos. Now that RIR has rejoined 16th Air Assault, I was wondering do you all have to be restrained for Parachute training? Do you all have to do P company or is it just the Parachute Regiment?

    • @OMT988
      @OMT988 5 месяцев назад +3

      16 Air assault is the largest brigade in the army.
      So no Parachuting and P coy is not required for all. (sad reality is, currently even the Paras struggle to get all their guys para trained)

    • @Rangermedia
      @Rangermedia  5 месяцев назад +3

      Glad you like them. In short no, the role within the Brigade is not to parachute that is 2&3Paras role along with the other enablers. As 1 of the 3 Infantry Regiments in there, we are a recce based battalion with vehicles. With Gurkhas being Air Assault.
      This course is designed to better prepare and increase physical standards along with field skills. Catterick will punch recruits out at a basic level, so more training needs to be conducted to meet 16 brigade standards.

We were 16 Air assault brigade then hence Para's being sent over to Us and exercises in Egpyt, Italy , Sardinia and Jordan. ..hence low altitude drops when things went wrong, SF platoon had to medical x and recover😞 I'm I wrong🙄 plus had tu RTU Para's from eposkoi after a few days in Cyprus because it kicked of in limosol 🙄...just saying, please correct if I'm wrong...F.A.B.....Go Rangers👍
