I am a childfree woman 59. I was always brought up as an independent thinker. It was a lot easier for me to choose the childfree lifestyle. I had some aunts who had no children and I saw that they had a very good life, unlike women who were mothers, who seemed miserable and had no quality of life other than chores and kids stuff and moaning about them, and forcing religion on them. They wanted me to believe what they believed. As a woman I would hate pregancy and childbirth and as women we are not even safe walking alone in case a man wants to rape and kill us. It is not a safe world and also who knows I could even make a criminal. Not having kids is brilliant, it reduces crime and victims and I won't die from childbirth or be a single mother. I have a social life as I have hobbies and I volunteer, but it isn't huge and I like that. great video
this video broke my heart and i could relate to the frustration. i’ve struggled with anxiety and depression for most of life, to a point where i tried to unalive myself and that’s one of the main reasons why i don’t want kids. it would be incredibly unfair of me to pass this onto an innocent soul. thank you for your vulnerability and for speaking up about this!
I am an Antinatalist and everything you said is correct. Even if you're born rich that doesn't guarantee a good life. Your parents can still be abusive or you could be born with or develop an awful disease at any point of your life. If none of that happens everything could be going fine then some random stranger could stab you for no good reason. Life is an STD with a 100% fatality rate
Exactly. Rich parents are no guarantee of happiness. In fact, I always thought rich kids are more at risk for becoming drug addicts and dying due to a never-ending supply of money to overdose
@@VannessaVAthat's true. I work at a private school and all of the kids come from rich parents. Since I've been there two kids have committed suicide. I went to public school and that never happened in my 13 years as a student.
As a childfree woman, I’m often told that I’ll never know true love until I have a baby. The greatest act of love I could give to my child is not bringing it into this world.
Yet people call you "selfish", while the opposite is actually true. People who are pro birth are the most selfish bunch I've seen. My mother made sure that we knew that the worst thing in life that ever happened to her was becoming a mother. Poor people who have children are cruel and abusive to bring children into this world that they can’t even afford to survive in themselves. Most people should not have children. Most parents are horrible parents. This is why I did not have children. I learned from all of the horrible parents I saw around me, torturing all of the children they had. Children they had because they accidentally created them or deliberately created them just to make themselves feel like they did what they were supposed to do, according to this sick society that the breeders do nothing at all to improve. I never ever regret not having children. I spared any children I would’ve had, of this ridiculous hell full of selfish thoughtless people who only breed for egomaniacal reasons or social acceptance.
Completely agree with all these points. The “worker bee” mentality runs way too deep in society, sadly. As well as the “have a kid to take care of me when I get old.” What??
The existential implications of creating life is poorly understood by a lot of people. My most painful realization was understanding that my creation wasn’t planned or thought out but was a result of selfish emotional reactions and desires for pleasure
it shouldnt be planned, it should be from an emotional reaction. the problem is humans arent adapted to this artificial world we live in, which through adaptation will create alot of suffering.
I was carefully planned and prayed for only to be abused and neglected. Ik a lot of “ accidents” who had great parents. It’s sex and sometimes shit happens abortion is extremely hard on you in every single way
I'm 50 years old, trust me society is only getting worse and always has been. Also the planet is going to shit. Having kids is the most selfish act, its done for the parents desire and nothing else.
Plus any kids that you would bring in the world. They most certainly will face health issues and being sick. And many other problems that we can't even see yet. Because they haven't happened yet.
Totally get you. I'm a 51 female. Your statement about your dad is the same as mine. I would watch my dad come home exhausted and he hated his job at the factory to come home to three bratty daughters! I could see it all over his face, especially as a teenager.
Thanks for your bravery to share these thoughts! I feel this way about so many thing i.e., motherhood, marriage, homeownership, etc... I am NOT against any of it, I just hate how one can be made to feel less than when they don't have/aspire to it. Or when you have it, but curate it to look like what you need it to be for your own sanity. I feel like many of us will never admit to living a life we truly don't desire, to avoid shame and judgement...
What I hate is how quick parents switch up as soon as the child reaches 10 years old. They act all nice and available when the child is a baby and they take it away quickly.
This was recommended to me… I found out about antinatalism in 2020 and hold it dear to my heart. I’ll always be child free and you’re not wrong about a single thing in this video! Newly subscribed. ❤ I truly wish the best for you in life … I know it’s hellish. 😢 We deserve so much better! You’re not alone.
It's a blessing in it's self to be wise enough to know better then to have kids. But the government will always push for more children/slaves and ostracize those who don't play their evil games... Saldly.
Always makes me smile when people try to shame people who choose not to have kids. They say it’s so selfish not to have kids, when the reality is, bringing another life into existence is just about the most selfish thing a person can ever do. I love my unborn children so profoundly and so deeply, that I’ve chosen never bring them into existence, into a life of constant struggle, risk and suffering. None of us chose to be here. In fact, we’re not even supposed to be here. But since we are here, we should do what we can to enjoy life with simple acts of kindness to ease the suffering of other humans and animals who are already here ❤
That's the lie they are telling us because they want more slaves! The truth is the world population is still growing. They say we Will be 10 billion soon, and after that it will start to drop. Truth is it's not dropping fast enough!! Even 1 billion seems to much, our species is the most destructive and we are growing like cáncer, sadly😢
Add to the fact that EVERYTHING has become boring. Where is all the fun places to go with friends and family? Very little of them exist anymore. Then even when you think of something fun to do it is out of your price range. 😑So if I can barely survive on my own then WHY bother having kids? Female here and kids are the last thing on my mind. Survival. That's it.
I can remember a moment back when I was very young before I could crawl, and I distinctly recall looking out from my crib bars and having the feeling of landing in jail or prison. I thought to myself without words that I "miscalculated my maneuver" and ended up ensared by a huge net. I was very bummed out and felt like a failure in prison, blocked from my destination, with the crib bars surrounding and enslaving my being until the sentence was up. Very vivid memory.
Imo the issue is how adult life is structured. EVERYTHING IS OVERLY COMPLICATED AND EXPENSIVE. You're essentially adding to the slave population unless you're wealthy. Is that really what you want? I'd love to raise a kid but in america as it is rn? HELL NO
Life is slavery even without other people oppressing you. This experience is filled with limitations & unpredictability. The one certainty is people suffer. Pain is inescapable
I completely agree with you and disagree with anyone telling you that you have depression or something is wrong with you and you need to speak to a therapist about it. These are real problems that are in the world and a therapist won't make that go away or help you cope. I think you have already found the first step to coping with it, not bringing a child into this world. It simply does not make any sense to want to create another human to just go through life struggles like the rest of us. I don't see a point in that. Our mindset may be different when we found someone we love and want to settle down with and share a child with, but it is still a bad idea if you are thinking about what that child would have to go through in the future.
In another life I would be ok with having kids… But in this one. My childhood damaged me. I have been falsely accused, mistreated, bullied, lied to, ignored and shunned and people expect me to have kids after all that.
I could say so much right now, but I agree with everything you said in this video. I actually asked my mom when I was 15 why did she have me knowing she was struggling and her reasoning was pretty selfish smh 🤦 ppl have tried to shame me for not having kids, but these are the same ppl who can't even afford theirs or their bills. They don't get sleep, don't know where their next meal is going to come from or if they can maintain keeping a roof over their kids head. The children suffer. I know I did and i paid for it with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, being taunted and bullied etc always been in fight or flight mode because I didn't know what tomorrow would bring. No kid should have to endure that
Life is great if your old and own a bunch of stocks/business/real estate. For all us young people our wages have stagnated while capital resources (real estate, stocks, businesses) rise so much faster. Since we are young get most of our money from wages not ownership of stuff so we have increasingly got poorer and poorer. (and therefore less kids)
Not all of us older adults own stocks and assets. I tried stocks and entrepreneurship off and on since I was a kid, but couldn't achieve career success and financial independence. Poorest ever in my 50's. I actually thrived best as a kid who worked by going door to door and tending a half acre garden with jet black rich soil for that was so happening 40 years ago. The cost of living was so low with many things almost free and even house montage or rent was only $100 a month. We also had wild fish and game we harvested instead of eating in restaurants and out of Walmart and Kroger. I find myself getting poorer as I age for the inflation is too much while opportunity decreases. The problem I had as a kid often coming home with a pocket full of cash was my brother stole it every time and I didn't bank nor now about finance yet. Most kids can't bank until they're 18 unless via their parents account for juveniles can't enter contracts and do business like adults.
hey, man! the algorithm recommended me to you and all you're saying is all true. capitalism, politics in general, existential crisis are all too much for us in our 20s! you're not the only one who thinks this way. the world we live in right now is disgusting and a harsh reality we deal with every single day. i feel your pain, but keep your head up high and stay safe always!
Facts 💯 And also thinking about de*ath, and realising one day you'll dissappear forever like youve never existed, makes me question what's all that struggling really for?
100% facts, struggling never feels good and the ppl who say it builds character etc. is just coping way too damn hard. All the trauma an BS we go thru in life is all for nothing.
I’m seeing what he’s saying in action. HE is the child taking the brunt of the emotions towards what’s going on with his parents. How they feel. Their resentment. I could never put that on a child. Seeing me that way and feeling like it’s their fault or “why did you do this to me??” Like omg that would break me
Yep it all boils down to money, and now in addition to geopolitics (is the country safe/close to something problematic for the near future). Hardly anything is affordable for us non elites, meaning salary vs what the job demands. Not to mention all the biological components of life like illness, possible contusions or accidents, being bullied or rejected by the rest of the herd. It's all brootal. And most kids are born by accident anyway. Only the elites plan their offspring because they need someone to take over, not of course, out of love or something humane like that
Truth! They all just stress, cope and get frustrated when you want nothing to do with this life at all. I am so glad I cut ties with my family now forever and have no plans of seeing them ever again. This reality is so pointless and all of it means absolutely nothing at the end of it all and it all starts with two morons having sex without thinking at all whatsoever.
You do whatever you think is best. It’s good that we get the option today. I’m a woman and child free too and at 31, I’m too old and not financially sound to be having them anyways. I’m not having kids for so many other reasons and for similar reasons you’ve talked about here.
Since when is 31 too old to have a kid? But yes I’m all for ppl choosing whether or not kids are right for them, not just having them for selfish reasons or societal expectations
@ it’s not too old for others, not at all. I’m just saying it’s too old for me personally! I still having figured out life and have nothing to give them in terms of a financially sound life. I’m too poor and too stupid and too old to get it all figured out right now. If they have an autoimmune diseases plus mental illness like I do I’d feel responsible and terrible and it’s overwhelming taking care of myself. I can hardly take care of the child that is me! Lol
Im gonna be 27 soon and i understand everything your saying and how you feel, i really want kids but i dont think its possible anymore because when I just look at the state of the world, its just terrible in every way & aspect and I would hate to see my children suffer.
Ask yourself why do you wants. Is it more for your own happiness or their happiness? If you're honest with yourself then you'll make the more caring decision.
I'm in my 50's and didn't ever have kids nor a wife nor with anyone either. I simply didn't fall in love with anyone nor have a solid career and the desire to buy a house and be tied down. I was a soldier, teacher, and temp worker who traveled the world many times. Exploring was far more important, but I'm no longer a big wanderlust in my 50's now preferring to not be stressed about visa time limits and being on the move too much. It's going to be too much of a time and money demand to actually have and raise kids. Most who do have the money to a pay all that are working all the time not able to be home and with the kids enough. It's crazy in the 21st century making little sense so I don't blame young adults for deciding and announcing they're not having kids. I'm grateful I didn't bring kids into this horrible dreadful mess of the 21st century.
Really good video! There is nothing pathetic about thinking of babies names or naturally having had wanted to have them! The red pill has pulled the wool from my eyes too, i.e. this world sucks more than we may ever know. This world was never great and has only worsened even as it develops. Only the parents get blessed out of the baby making decision as that life raped into existence by their parents will need a job, work the rat race, need a home, live with lots of uncertainty, spend a lot of time in front of a computer(is that life really?), and be surrounded by privileged perverts, liars, freeloaders, manipulators, cowards, the list goes on and on. As homo sapiens or more modern human animals I get wanting the milestone of having your own offspring but will never understand the greed and down right stupidity of actually doing it! This world is worse and just not worth it than ever!
Sorry for my english... I chosed don't have kids just because today I see my life alone. I was projecting my dreams in my "possible future kids". Another reason is because my country is expensive. I have more chances to grow... Personaly, I don't think the "bad World" is a good point. When I was depressed, I saw it the same. But, I respect it.
Over the years I’ve heard countless people say they want children so that they can pass down a legacy, but honestly what legacy are you creating your children are going to age and die one day too they won’t be alive forever. Maybe I look at the idea of a legacy different than most people but when I think about a legacy I look at it as something that will exist forever and that will have a long lasting impact on people for centuries. The majority people never create or do anything significant enough to pass down to their children anyways so what legacy is there.
Thats pure narcissism/egotism. Anyone who achieves something in life will be remembered for a short while at least, no one gets remembered just by having kids and no one remembers the parents of someone famous.

The truth is your parents had you because they were selfish and wanted someone to take care of them once they grew too elderly to be able to take care of themselves. This is actually better than the alternative. The alternative is that they had you by mistake. Lots of people have kids accidentally due to lack of birth control. At least they meant to have you...even if it was for selfish reasons. That doesn't make it okay though and I'm sorry that you are having to go through so much pain and suffering. Let me first start by staying kudos to you for being brave of posting this video of expressing how you negatively about this crappy world that we live in. I can relate to your frustrations of how you negatively feel about the world mainly because i myself complain a lot about how awful this world is. It's no surprised that babies were born to be conditioned to grow up to be slaves to the "Almighty Dollar". Working-class citizens having to pay taxes is like being be slaves to our governments that are run mostly by crusty old folks in power it seems. I Do Not ever wants kids either which i have my reasons regardless of whomever throws the "Selfish" card at me even though some people focus on the positives of what it means to bring a baby/babies into this world while the world is overpopulated. I believe that people shouldn't have to work for pieces of paper like slaves to live but since our crappy species are driven by money (I hate and despise money with passion) and money being what keeps our societies functional besides rules and order' we are stuck with being ruled by system unless we choose to live off the grid. I'm a firm believer of more play and less work despite my age. I question my existence as well. I hate people in general (people in general suck) and i usually don't like being around people. It sucks whenever some people quickly assume that someone is mentally ill just because someone's perspective of the world is vastly different from societal norms. A female athlete once said' "If you don't like the world that you live in' then you have the power to change it" even though i personally find that somewhat hard to believe. If we as individuals can't change the world for the better' then we can at least make a positive impact to those around us which they can spread our positive impact onto others and so on. I'm glad that i do share your disgust for this awful world. Please excuse my lengthy comment but i wanted to share some more of my thoughts on how negatively i feel about the world.
love ur videos, u reminded of "born into a corrupt system" channel he has the same beliefs and view of the world watching u both and reading the comments makes me feel less lonely about this
I've had this thought ever since like 2015. The world isn't the same place it used to be and it keeps getting worse every year. And it's probably going to keep getting worse until this whole system collapses or humanity evolves into a whole other thing.
Hey, you know what also makes this world a not so good place, is the fact that animals having been living on this earth way before humans have struggling just to reproduce and die horribly (being disolved in stomach acid for example). I personally think all of life is not going somewhere and its not dependable that it should even be persevered. Think about it, hundreds of millions of years eat, reproduce and die. Thats what evolution is doing and people are walking over the fact that life isnt really a good thing.
If most people had the time to think about it, they would come up with the same conclusion that you did, but what happens in reality is that teens and people in their early 20s go off hormones and just having fun then ends up having babies .. then they are told(pressured) ‘to take responsibility for their actions’… I’m so lucky that my sexuality gave me enough time to see what was going on and gave me an option to choose if I wanted kids

I have been saying this for years and finally others see what I have been saying all along and I don’t feel alone. Thank you so much for this video.

Yet people call you "selfish", while the opposite is actually true. People who are pro birth are the most selfish bunch I've seen. I feel like earth, animals, and the ecosystem will be better off if we humans never existed. Like I can imagine a better place for them without us. Think about it, we are the reason so many unnecessary horrible things happen, it really is our fault.
Like what things ? Being humans is about thinking about solution no need to be this depressive
@@AngrySahraoui Im not depressed, when you think about it, it makes sense. Also how are we going to make solutions if we never existed. The earth will still be in its healthy enivornmental state. We are the reason, things are the way they are. But yes, thinking about solutions is only for us to fix a problem WE created in the first place. My point stands. If we were never here, no problems. If we are here creating problems, great lets look for solutions. like I know we'll find solutions but solving them aren't easy. its not like erasing a grammar error and fixing it. Its way more complicated than people think. And to solve problems we need everyone's support. But the reality is.... bearly anyone cares. But I do, I try my best to do what I can for people I care about. But at the end of the day. reality is reality. You can always find solutions, yes I agree. But not all the time you can solve them. @@Karessertin103 you're not responsible for the pains, that's just how life is, we're just animals who have the needs to take the next breath, who think about how to achieve happiness, who outbreed our most important allies when we're on lush warm lands when they're in unfarmable ones, nature is ugly, life is ugly, backstabbing is the way many things survive and live on this earth, it's just our grandparents who thought we can make this slightly bearable for the future generations so we might as well create some principles, even though many won't follow them, sometimes you're just blocking yourself, and you'll find the thing you exactly need if you allow yourself to go forward, sometimes both of you are watching on the wall thinking about each other, sometimes your enemy is the one who sees you as his brother and the one who actually wants you to become a better individual, some people are aggressive at expressing their opinions, my parent used to use me as a punching bag after his work shifts when I was a kid everyday, perhaps he wanted me to be a less autistic person because he knows this world has no mercy, he tried to wake me up in his own way, many people nations civilizations cultures etc work this exact way, killing or breaking your first brother and ally forever, tough love to the point of lethalness, that's how many many people think, some stranger said your brother is a bad individual towards person b ?? Just sack your brother act as a hero and have person b c d e f g end your life in that same valley.
We seriously have a hero mental problem, being a hero is a problem. Stop saving or helping unknown people, because their true nature comes out later on, and it always is not pleasant. Stop feeling the pressure that you are responsible for the pains of others in this world, many people should stay just that way for the sake of the better good. If I had a new book on moral code I would add "though shall not save the unknown" many nations ended exactly that way, including mine and probably yours is on the way if you keep trying to act as a hero. Stick to the known, and that's most probably initially yourself ! you know yourself better than anyone, so do the thing that you can do best, help yourself, dream, and only help the known, you, your kids, yourself, your cats, your dogs and your car's fuel tank. Stop thinking about bastards whom their next intention is to pickpocket the next pant pocket and use the money to buy guns to make a vevo video and shoot the young new kid in the favella to appear cool. As I said heroism is immoral a disease and a stain on humanity
You're right that people would rather have you pretending everything's okay than be honest

Bringing new children into a world like this is just awful and selfish
Keep dropping.. channel will grow. People need reality nowadays.

In another life I would be ok with having kids…
But in this one. My childhood damaged me. I have been falsely accused, mistreated, bullied, lied to, ignored and shunned and people expect me to have kids after all that.
Same here. And people expect me to have babies with my damaged mental health. I don't get it.
Life has never been all about happiness. It has never been and never will be, but we get the experience it. but the truth is life harder now.

I compmetely agree with you. I am 28 years old and i have been very agianst having children since I was 19. Seriously considering getting a vasectomy. I care too much about the well being of people to bring them into a world like this.
One day, we will be able to break free from this prison. Ironically, that's what our society calls "death". What really worries me is the idea of reincarnation-- that concept sounds like the idea of perpetually being recycled back in for another round of hell over and over again.
Oh my God, yes!!! My biggest fear is reincarnation!! I never want to come back to this Planet!! Never! I've experienced enough of this idiocracy, and it's only getting worse😢
