Let's just say it folks. Lucero is a musical genius. Almost quite literally. They explore a realm of music that is mostly untouched, and some that have been around for a long time, and they do both excellently. I don't know of any other bands that get quite this brand of fantastic. And it's beautiful. Awe inspiring really
Well said my friend...I could not have phrased it better. Just discovered Ben & Lucero's music tonight. I will be listening to more tunes and hope to catch a live show if a tour comes my way.
Usually I don't like acoustic versions of electric songs. There, however, is new depth to this version. So glad to see both them and the god-like Cory Branan next week in Baltimore!
Can't wait may 3rd Louisville get to see them live with great friends and plenty of beer did I mention I get to see them!!!!!! Who cares if its a 5 hour drive and $400 for a room (derby weekend)
Does anyone know the song they played that was featured on a tattoo show on regular tv a few years ago? I can't remember the song but it was amazing. Love these guys!!
Rey Scott listen to all their acoustic sets like Texas an Tennessee and ain’t so lonely but one of my favorites he does is God’s medicine and bruised ribs
faht lei the funny part about soulful music, or those who can relate, are loners. We are a whole different type of people. Soulful music is our way to relate and express in a world of little soul.
Kateri Conover Most people don’t have the attention span, or the ability to sit down and really listen to a three or four minute song. That sounds crazy, but I ever get so,done to and they love it, and I’ve watched because it made me insane I turn someone on to great music. And call me a music snob, or whatever, but I listen to people that say some things, and turn a phrase in this small space, and it says exactly what you meant when you talked an hour on the subject. And I know it is the best of the best. And what I saw, was they just couldn’t sit and listen, so if I put it out now, I just do it with the attitude of, I can only bring you the finer things, it’s on you how you proceed.
I was 37 years old when i discovered this band. I'm still 37 years old and i fkn love this band.
Now you’re 39 and I can imagine things haven’t changed
All you think of is heaven
And this band which saved you
many time from your hand…
So f**kin good. The heartache in his voice is beautiful.
Man plays his voice like a saxophone.. I can’t describe it but it’s so unique and awesome
Have listened (and watched) this probably a hundred times when I needed to hear it, and have found it amazing every single time.

Great music can't be found, it meets you on the path of life.
I'm glad I walked into Ben Nichols.
Much love from The Netherlands.

Still so freakin amazing
"I was fierce..." beautiful.. just beautiful!
I think I would die and go to heaven if they could work a steel guitar into this version.
that would be pretty sick
That rug really tied the studio together. Did it not?

Just....damn.

Johnny Cuervo you'll probably enjoy most things Ben does acoustic. Love his work with the band, anything acoustic by him is great too though.
Brilliant song! Seen them with Frank Turner in Austria and been a fan ever since!

Makes you reflect on life and your past,Lord knows I'm not young the days I let slip away..
The 27 people who gave this a "thumbs down" know every word to every Nickleback song.
this song is seriously beautiful.
I like this song. guitar/vocal works good w/ piano. . enjoyed.
Great stuff. Missed them in Baltimore last week...bummer. I really wish they would do the NYC boat tour again. That was awesome!
Baltimore was a fun show. Cool crowd, happy people. Gotta love it.
+Kirk River Mud i was at that show at the soundstage. with bingham & twinforks?
Ben Nichols is a great artist. He’s the total package. He can write songs, arrange music, play instruments and front a great American band!
And he is also a train wreck, like all of us.
Freakin Awesome!!
Does anyone know the song they played that was featured on a tattoo show on regular tv a few years ago? I can't remember the song but it was amazing. Love these guys!!
over and over for hours.
I'm a very new fan... wow.
Rey Scott listen to all their acoustic sets like Texas an Tennessee and ain’t so lonely but one of my favorites he does is God’s medicine and bruised ribs
Isn’t he awesome? Check out my best girl, Union Pacific line, baby don’t you want me, the man I was, it gets worse at night. The list goes on!
So introduce it to a friend, they might like it. Music is to share!!
Thanks Ben.
I'm gonna have to do it without tagging the b string between everything I guess. This shit makes life ok.
But the B string is the best string.
And I'm doing it now.......
They are what makes live music so superior to recorded music. Anybody can spend weeks in the studio and emerge with a decent sounding studio album.
nice song !
Ben is fantastic, but RICK STEFF is just as amazing and so talented.
they should do an album like this
my kids love lucero. but they listen on spotify...or the cds in my truck
I am officially in love with Ben Nichols
💙
what the fuckkkkk hes so good... this song is lretty difficult to play with that kind of precision ben nichols is the fucking man
I'm young, but I gotta say I really like this sort of music. It kinda makes me feel a bit lonely knowing I'm the only teen that likes this stuff
Not the only one

my oldest daughter is 16 and she loves these guys (thanks to a dad who's clearly awesome, i might add...)
Not the only one man , been listening since I was 15 , now Currently 19 , and I must say it made a big impact on the short three years it's been
You're never alone.
God damn.
I want to know why more people do not know him...
lol because people refuse to listen to real music anymore. It's all autotune and electronic beats for the masses.
