That was so awesome Honda! I’m riding a 2016 CBR1000RR-no abs. It’s my first bike and I’ve yet to even power wheelie. This will hopefully be my next bike in a few years after my skills improve! Looks amazing, sounds amazing. Really good job from the Honda team
anyone wondering the 2nd gear to first gear miss hap is probably because the bike isnt in gp shifting setup like his motogp bike so instead of upshifting he downsifted
possibly wrong tire. the 2017 fireblades quick shifter read tire speed in order to know when to shift, the problem was that if you put a different than stock tire size on(god forbid a 190/55) the quick shifter would become dangerous to use and false neutral everywhere. I can only imagine honda has fixed this on the RR-R as im pretty sure it was fixed on the 2019 fireblades, but purhaps its a setting that isnt calibrated yet. Hence the manual down shifts he does this whole video as he goes into first. Notice every single 2nd to 1st is manual, all the others are qss/blipping
You could tell he is all out of sorts on this bike, shifting is backwards to his gp bike, difficult for him to find his line because it is so slow vs his motogp bike.
Bike not set up like MotoGP bike....that's why in 1:34 he goes wide, instead of upshifting he downshift the gear.....but man Marquez is best of the best👍
Can see Marquez try to ride this bike like his ride his RC213V which have super high rev can reach over 20k RPM, but this is production bike so can go that high, anyway, MM just go for a ride (for fun of it or make video) so he no need to ride like those amuture rider try to prove something & push so hard ... his is Marc Marquez, the world MotoGP champion

Easy to see he’s uses to his way more nimble machine, because most of the times, he was kinda getting into a corner at what seems like to fast speed and he had a hard time keeping the line, kinda if the bike didn’t brakes enough for his taste, and obviously he seems also like he was having a hard time to turn, but surely he’s not in fault, but it’s also clear that he’s uses to his bike who is lighter, brakes more and have more power too, Of course, for him it must have been like if your driving a sports car everyday for 10 years and suddenly you end up in a pick-up, it’s not gonna have the same handling for sure. 👍
Seemed like the first ever lap by him on that bike. Considering how talented he is, given enough time on that machine he will ride it to its limits too. The biggest takeaway from this footage is that it makes a massive difference when you are completely aware of a bike's set up and when the bike is set up to suit your riding style and capability.

I know theirs a lots of peoples, who rides sports bikes and think they’re the best, but in reality they can’t even used 50% of the machines capacity, But maybe 3/4 % of the bikers out there, are really pushing it to the almost limits, so I was speaking kinda to the 3/4 % meaning can you simply imagined, if we could try one of thoses GP, just onces. My GOD it would be heaven. But like I said, it’s only for the few. What a machine the new CBR 1000 RR-R is, and what a dream a GP BIKES would be. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍😍😍👍😍
